I had to redo it a few times and seriously contemplated my decisions in the middle but i can happily say that after an hour of little snips here and there, that i am pleased with my results. I cut about 6 inches off and maybe another inch fixing it with the point cutting. Way better than the crusty split ends i had before! When my husband gets home i will ask him if i missed anything and try to report back lol I definitely agree this is probably a technique best for thin hair Edit: yes i missed two strands, my husband trimmed it straight for me but he said i was very close!

I wouldn't recommend for my thick hair girlies to cut their own hair... Coming from experience.. this was my 3rd hair cutting tutorial and it was closer than the others, but I can't get it even in the back. I will still need to pay $20+ (budget hairdresser)for two minutes worth of trimming just to get it even 🤡
I have a question, so basically when you tie your hair up is her hair like all slicked back to a ponytail or is it still parted when it’s up with the ponytail

This only works if you have almost no hair at all. I tried this on my thick hair and it didn’t come out as good 😂
If you straighten it smooth and texturize or point cut after it will. It just takes more work and steps
