How fun! A Humanitarian Mission in West Africa! I am also serving a Humanitarian Mission at the Humanitarian Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. My specific responsibility is to make quilts to be shipped all over the world. I finish binding quilts tied by other service missionaries, make quilt tops to be tied by wards, stakes, and other missionaries, and make quilt tops that I quilt myself on my long arm quilting machine. I love participating my this great enterprise!

So happy for you! My brother and his wife have been serving in the Ivory Coast for almost two years. They have done lots of projects and learned so much. He served as a young elder in France, the main language is French with a lot of tribal languages. His wife is from Colombia, she hoped that they would be speaking Spanish. I think that the mostly my brother missed his tools.

So happy for you both to get this chance to do missions together. That’s how my husband and I met, he came on a mission trip to help my church and we ended up engaged. Many years later and quilts, we serve in a rural church. Lost the 3 quilts, one complete and two in progress in a flood a few years ago. Hoping to recover from health issues soon and do some “mission quilting” again soon. Hard to build back my supplies and material. Praying y’all have a great experience and keep us updated!
