I would've kept the white chain, went with pink Vans tires, pink hand grips (no flange) and a white GT seat. If I could find pink brake cables and pink nipples, I'd toss those into the mixture. The only thing I'd run on this particular GT is collapsible fork standers.
I just noticed thats not the correct year fork,the correct fork has cable holes on both sides of the fork so the cable can come out from. All good though,i would have put some kind of power disc or compact disc for sprocket and a dominator seat.
I hade a 91 pro performer tour with crash dummies decals wish i could find that bike my cosin got it off me when i lerned to drive i had allot of good stuff on it too
Awesome bike i got my brothers hand me down gt i believe it was an 87 gt vertigo it was black purpke stickers with gold break levers n well someone broke into our shed n stole it i was so upset but i got a job a paperroute i was 12 n i saved up few months n bought myself a brandnew 95 gt vertigo black with red n yellow stickers i have owned 3 gts myself n then baught my don his first qhen he was 12 a gt mach one i love gt this bike build was awesome do u ever build up any gt vertigos i know im not only one to remember the vertigos
I know the pink chain ties in to some of the stickers but c'mon man , not on this bike...use a regular stainless looking chain, brake levers, etc. Build those bikes for the type of guys that actually rode those bikes back in the day. You would have never caught anything like a pink chain on any dudes bike back then.

I have this same bike but in chrome any idea what its work it’s honestly in 8 out of 10 conditions no dents or dings other then a little bit of rust oh and its a 98 not the 87
Anodized parts look better on bmx. Freestyle was more bold, bright and opaque colors. Mismatched blue standers clash with those beautiful anodized rims. Too many directions, looks like just threw on whatever was lying around instead of custom. Those cranks are beastly! Probably performs excellent, just too busy.
An occasional slow ride around the block on a different set of tires is all that thing may see if it was in my posession. I'd ride it so casually, I wouldn't need to use either brake to come to a stop🤨.

Whoa! What headset is that? I'm currently running an Odyssey Dynatron on my '87 Master, but that sealed unit would be so much nicer.

My first real bmx bike was a 94 gt pro freestyle tour. Wish I held on to and passed it down to my son.

That's a dope frame, but I'd go for the 99 Performer over this frame. The Show's frame would be my first choice if it wasn't so short🤗!
