That Cobra Terminator will always be one of my favorite cars. We had one on the dyno at AMS making 400whp with minor mods. Still a ripper to this day.
Tf? These made close to 600 from the factory with a tune? 😂 Ford famously tuned these cars down to be able to claim the 400ish its listed at off the belt. Not sure how you were only making 400
@@chrisbruchak4519 Maybe with a tune, pulley, ported blower, FBO, injectors, and a boost-a-pump. Then, it's IRS upgrade time to support the power.

The Terminator was really over-engineered and way the hell ahead of its time for that day and age. Those were one of the best built factory engines ever, by Ford. They're going to go up in value, especially lower mileage/well-cared for models.
They hold n have held their value way better than most cars ever have, i'm a 2v guy but those 4v Cobras are beasts..

It's the supercharger lol nothing ahead of its time . The 5.4 was an ok motor .
@@sschevmale24 it wasnt a 5.4, it was a 4.6 iron block with forged internals and a t56 tremec. I think it was more than “ok”.
@@Rivera1539 the 4.6 was not a good engine and needed boost to make power. The LS was a superior engine so was the Honda engines .
@@sschevmale24 Do some research. Yes you are correct, the 4.6 was Garbage, but the 4.6 in the terminator was not. They were iron block, forged, paired with a 6 Speed Tremec. Many of them have held over 650hp on the stock drivetrain. There’s a reason everyone respects the 03/04 Terminator.

Bro. I drive a 2003 gt. The Terminator is my dream car. I was seriously thinking of getting a 2014 5.0 because I'm so over the interior the 00-04 but this video has changed my mind. I'm getting a Terminator!!! Can't believe it can hang with a hellcat. I know it has mods but still. Shit can hang!!
Isaac Guillen Hey bud, terminator is my dream car too, but if you are on the fence I’d say go with the 5.0. A kennebell cobra may be able to hang with a modded hellcat, but a boosted coyote would almost certainly walk away from it. I love both cars, but it’s hard to beat a properly setup boosted 5.0. I’d still rather have a terminator myself, but that’s just because the cobra has a special place in my heart. But as far as making power and raw speed, that coyote has a lot more potential.

Isaac Guillen Terminator will be more reliable at higher horsepower as well, with the forged bottom end and t56.

Terminators are the best looking mustangs built. Triple black is perfection. And the teksid block and forged rotating assembly will handle over 1000 horse stock.

The hellcat owner figures 707 HP plush the stickers, cold air and exhaust made it 800hp.. I want really surprised but when these hellcat owners didn't know the difference between wheel horsepower and crank horsepower, I see why they think they have do m much HP. A stick 707hp cat had about 630-640 wheel HP drown being on the drivetrain, and in that heavy police car, that's not what I consider "fast". I've been building cars and engines for a long time so I get it, but my 03 cobra I paid 4600 for the shell, $8k to build the 98 cobra motor and the turbo kit cost me about $15 and the 700+hp on low boost and 1000hp+ capable on kill mode with the nitrous was well worth it. Imagine if I had $70k. I've humbled many of Mopar dudes.
