Wish we could get William to visit Western Australia to give a few lectures on ED Medicine. His knowledge, experience, delivery and wit is out of this world.

So...these tox lectures helped me out on my last shift. (ed nurse) i had a pt who syncopized while hanging out with friends. While putting monitor leads on him, i smelled smoke and said: "you smell like a chimney"
He then told me there was a fire they were sitting around and the area was very smoky. I reported this to the PA so he could order a carboxyhemoglobin
Im not sure i wouldve been so keenly aware of this if I hadnt listened to Melton.

Loved this lecture. Incidentally nothing sexist abt the female correlation with Tylenol OD's, it's just a fact. My youngest patient was 11 year old girl all pissed off at Mom and downed a bottle. If you met Mom (a total Karen) you'd know why the family dynamic was a mess.

Use caution when consuming solids or liquids while watching this. I learned this the hard way at 14:53.🤣😅🤣

I don't like that he's talking abt exams. I'm tryna relax and listen to toxicology lectures.

This was a great lecture, from experience on the gov/defense side, tox is not for the benefit of humanity, I believe the new director of DARPA is a PhD level geologist with a lot of experience in geo chemistry & toxicology, I’m eager to find out what literature/research will be coming out of the organization with her in charge. I’ll say this, I believe the mission of tox is brutally skewed in so many directions but the one that counts, which should be rooted in beneficence.

I think this would have been much better without all the foul language. He could have slowed it way down too.
