    Great episode 👏🏻
    I grew up in Camden, NSW. The Macarthur’s are a celebrated part of our local history too. Their descendants, who I went to school with, still live in the original home built by the Macarthur’s called Camden Park House. I remember doing a project on Elizabeth Macarthur and how integral to the family business she was. She has many things named after her here including a school, road and housing estate.

    You still hack it very well, Tony. And the sound is excellent. Makes a big difference to people who are deaf, and need to use earphones and even subtitles to assist. Few video progs reach this standard of professionalism. Keep going!

    I never thought Parramatta was that interesting… I have to reassess and walk in my ancestors shoes. The Eels have an even more impressive stadium now and they didn’t need to burn down the old one or win a premiership to get it.

    Would be interesting for us non-Aussies to hear more about local snacks, drinks and foods, especially those influenced by Aboriginal dishes. The 'Winery' stories are nice, but they all seem to blur together. And we can do without the Vegemite, tell us about 'Shapes', Lamingtons and Bundaberg'...

      Lel he is too much like my dad, I love him.
      They just don;t understand that its not a charming thing anymore, "dad you shouldn't call women sweetheart over the phone anymore" He is a jolly happy old man and just wants to see people smile, it's sad to see how aweful men ruined something nice. I cringed through and I cringe whenever dad does it to somone he doesnt know.

    Fascinating stuff from Robbo, he gets into the "interactive experience". I mean just grabbing the pork chop off Pok Chopra,
    sitting in his best Sunday apparel, with his family, eating Sunday Lunch, and seeing the little Pom Goblin, steal his chop,
    and then eat it in front of him, it would be heart attack material for the "Little India" day-tourist. Apparently there used to be
    even true-blue Aussies go down L.I. and chuck down some khaki colored Chicken Tikka & Sambal Curry, but there was a
    botulism episode, and after an "inspection", where they found cats & dogs hanging in the cool rooms, some of the curry
    houses popularity, started to lose it's "oily gloss". It also happened in Campbelltown in a Chinese restaurant, with peoples
    pets disappearing quicker than if Pennywise himself was going for late evening walks around the streets. The whole hog,
    of going into an "ethnic enclave" in a very heavily targeted immigrant "street or couple of streets" is a little disconcerting,
    can you imagine, going out of your way, walking into a foreign enclave, and then ordering a hotch-pot special surprise dish,
    scoffing it all down, and later trying to digest it, and then, this is the "the money shot" - you get-out your hard-earned cash,
    and pay the curry-slurry. They kill-the-pig, eat it, talk it, brag it, give you the scraps, and talk turkey, Khyber Passes & Baboo.
    I recently went to Parramatta Westfields, the big shopping center in the heart of Parramatta, it was like an episode of
    Starwars, it was a surround-sound "SIMULTANEOUS CROWDING OF PUBLIC SPACES" - I bought a small orange juice
    in the Coles next to the train station, and had a rather rude and obnoxious, foreign looking fellow, run at my arm, that
    was holding the OJ, and bump my arm hard enough for it to fall on the ground, but since I had been training, doing arm
    curls, reverse arm curls, triceps pushdowns, and push-ups, I held on. The funks indoor climbing classes I had done in
    the past also helped to teach the arm, and the hand, to grip onto things. Parramatta Westfields looks like it's been colonized.
    (Next time I'll tell the story of freakshow pretend doctor Latex Chowdry)

    Mental health isn't something to be sensationalised. Yes technically it can be described as 'insanity', but not only is this offensive, it diminishes how awful it is to live with mental illness. And you can't say someone is 'a bit bipolar'. Very disappointed.

    • @wendymoyer782
      @wendymoyer782 2 роки тому +10

      I completely agree. Very badly handled, extremely derogatory to everyone who has experienced mental health challenges.

    • @MizzzFizzz
      @MizzzFizzz 2 роки тому +2

      I think it was being described as it was back in the time. Instead of "a bit bipolar", "might have", "maybe been" would have been the right wording but I don't think he was trivializing it at all, just used the wrong word for an assumption, we only know of the dudes actions through history where the idea of mental illness didn't exist.

    • @bluishwolf
      @bluishwolf 2 роки тому +3

      You can be a bit bipolar, it's official name is cyclothymia.

    • @jamesjoy4636
      @jamesjoy4636 2 роки тому +2

      @@MizzzFizzz He said "Nowadays I suppose we'd say he's a bit bipolar". He was intentionally giving a modern day example of the illness he'd just described. This issue is that this description IS offensive to people with bipolar and other mood disorders.
