This is one of the many reasons why I love you, you know everything when it comes to hiking. I remember when I was like, wait what we have to reserve?!
When I first started I was also surprised at how early you had to have the reservations, people are planning out their entire year of trips the year before. Lots of preparation!
Hey thanks it’s been a lot of fun. Probably my biggest challenge is continuing to make sure the content I put out every week is something my audience will find value in. How about you?
@@finahikes21 In my case the hardest is to publish consistently. I only post 1 or 2 videos per month so far. But the ideal pace is 1 quality video per week. So congrats on making that happen on your channel. Easiest for me is promotion as I also do this for a living :) Hopefully I'll be able to balance things a bit better in 2022. I'll keep checking your channel. I am based in Bulgaria (Eastern Europe) and this is a hiking paradise. I do hikes on a weekly basis. Feel free to check my overnighter videos!
Awesome! I’ll definitely check out your channel, I’d love to take a hiking trip in Eastern Europe so let me know if you have any suggestions. Best of luck with your channel’s growth 😊
all were taken within the second. no camping in Yosemite for my fam in 2022. I wish that it would all become lottery given the amount of people that go to Yosemite now.
Oh no 🙈, ya it’s a struggle. You could look for cancellations or staying in the neighboring forests and just drive in to see the valley. North Pines has a lottery for some of their sites but that is also pretty hard to get. Do you think you’ll still try 3/15?
@@finahikes21 ugh yeah I'm with Michael, my site kept glitching out and I figured out too late that I can't use the date range thing, I have to keep clicking next 5 days until I get to the range (otherwise it shows as all Xs even though it's As and Rs) (well... used to have As, haha). we'll make it work though hahah. thanks for the help beforehand though!!
Hope you are able to get a campsite! I was up this morning and everything went within the first minute 😳 but North Pines is also doing an early access lottery for some of the sites. Next lottery opens Jan 18 - Feb 6 for Jul 21 - Sept 14 dates. Best of luck 🤞🏽
Hi Emidio! My friends think North Pines has the best views. I would decided on what it is that you want to do, what trails you want to hike, etc. Do you want to be somewhere less crowded, then the valley isn’t going to be what you’re looking for. If you want shops and food vendors near by then the valley would be great. Anyone else have any thoughts??
There isn't really any one best site. To be sure some are better than others in regards to how cramped you are next to your neighbor but anything in the Valley is majestic. There are free buses running approx every 20 minutes throughout the Valley floor to all the sights and amenities. Easier than driving and the biggest problem in Yosemite is traffic. Suggest you leave the car at camp. There are also open air tour guided buses that take you to all the sites (fee required),
Thank you I needed this
Good job love Yosemite !! One time in lower pines I had to move every day !! But like you said any camp site is better than none!!!! Lol

Awesome and detailed video !! Thank you :)
No problem! Did you try to get a campsite Feb 15?
Hi Sophina and congrats on launching your channel! I like what you have created in 2 months. What's your biggest challenge on UA-cam so far?

Assume you meant Memorial Day not Labor Day as your example of Step #2 'When to Reserve'. U might want to make that correction.
Recreation suck
