The USA has supported Ukraine with a total of 71 billion US dollars, which corresponds to just 0.31% of the American annual GDP!!! Do you still think Russia would be so great and strong? Russia is only a threat through its nuclear weapons, without them, just imagine what the entire NATO has to offer in terms of financial and technological superiority against Russia! Sure Germany platforms are very modern and efficient. But I can't recall any real battle experience you can refer to in multable decades. Don't get me wrong I appreciated thier a NATO nation, but thier un tested in an actual fire fight situation. I do appreciate the German government has a new investment in training and awareness of eastern Europe. My country shouldn't be the spearhead in defending europe any longer, but I beleave we should always have your back. Others should step up.
Same goes for all NATO nations, really. Their equipment is showing holes in modern warfare thinking in Ukraine. Infrastructure in most Western countries is falling apart and the Social contracts of these countries are breaking down under the weight of archaic bureaucracy and fascist resurgence. In short, the West is pretty weak fundamentally and should reserve its judgment for what is tried, tested and true. Biased speculation never won any wars.
Idk.. i was deployed to the Middle East with one of our ISAF partners at the time being the krauts.. they proved to be competent in battle. My grandpa would probably roll in his grave to hear me say it ( WW2 paratrooper) but I would trust them to have my back in combat.
