This was such a lovely event. In an ideal world it really should have been a week long installation for people come and go freely. A lot of people couldn’t get in last night.
Wish I'd known this was going to be live streamed. I was going to try and get a ticket / get to London but didn't in the end. Still gonna watch the recording.
It would have been perfect trolling if after the onscreen countdown finishes, Aphex Twin starts playing ear-splitting Gabba. Also, the man on the right with the red cushion and headrest combo has the right idea.
I like the right-angle knees on the right. That's how i would be listening. This was the night I saw Jandek in Portland... a great night for the music geist.
SAW 2 is my driving home from work album. It works in the summer months when the evening sun starts to get low in the sky. It also works during the colder times of the year or when I'm driving in the rain. A great album and a great journey. Also, I used to play it for my kids when they were babies....
I only need a couple of albums to complete my discography of aphex twin ! S a w 2 is one of them ! I’m glad it got reissued but unfortunately I’m poor and can’t afford it at the moment ! Hopefully it isn’t sold out by the time i can afford it!!!
THIS is how it's supposed to be done. Bare minimum everyone should be quiet and have a chance to relax on something. The one in Bristol was just a bunch of posers chatting over the whole thing very loudly so the music could barely be heard. Piss poor choice of venue - a lame bar full of 'cool' people - and effort from Rough Trade, I'm sorry to say. Still, I got the poster that some were fussing over.
I was there for the whole thing and alot of people did leave throughout. Atleast it meant people from the queue outside could get a chance to experience it.
This is so inaccurate, I was just there and these were some of the most mind-blowing visuals I've ever seen. The whole album animated in laser water diffracted vibrations. One of the top experiences of my life
@@ericpapaluca4664was somebody doing the visuals live and practically with actual water? At points I suspected that but it also looked too slick. I liked how the visuals took over the room at points and at other points were concentrated.

Sometimes I have a listening event in my house for myself.
❤
You didn't invite ME?!
Interesting concept, I'll have to give it a try.
Last time I held a listening event in my house for myself… I didn’t even bother to show up… 😢
Crazy ass
One of the most beautiful and haunting albums that will ever be made, 10/10
I was there, truly a beautiful experience
This album belongs in a museum. An absolute masterpiece. 10/10!!!!

Rhubarb always hits hard.
Sure does! Every single time. Divine!
future music in 94 / future music in 2024. Aphex is like Mozart or Chopin for our generation. 52:37... nostalgia that soothes the heart
Well said ❤
I remember the days many years ago when I fell asleep listening to this album.
2:08:00 love it
I wish I was there & I'm happy for everyone who attended. It must have been an amazing experience.
This is how you find your significant other going to Aphex listening event to the Tate

Wonderful album. A total journey.
Much needed calm and serenity. Love this. Headphones on = pure bliss 😊

We travelled 100 miles, booked accommodation and couldn't get in :/
@@douglasmono330 you have my sympathies. Quite a few friends missed out too. Perhaps a petition to Warp/Tate to bring it back is needed?
Brilliant idea and a real missed opportunity.
it would be cool to see Richard pop up and do show
saw you in an unkomminiti comment section

how disappointing to see the visuals for th1 cut and rhubarb orc being ended early.

Sure looked like a lot of ppl leaving early through out the show. Maybe they never heard of AFX before? Too bad they took up a sought after seat.
