The square piece is a cable mount. I've been following Laurie since before she got the Patton for her wreath boards, so happy you didn't use the knock off, great job 👏
Beautiful daisy wreath! I really like how you show and explain how to create the petals. The little square pieces are cable mounts and can be found at the hardware stores. Thank you for sharing this pretty flower!
Hi Scottie...yes, totally non bulky and clean..that's the way I like it. I'm so impressed with the wreath boards, as I've always stuck to the classic wire frames, but I think I may just be converted. HAHA. Thanks so much and take care. 😊
Hi Dave. This is so pretty! What a strange and wonderful invention to build your flower upon! The center of a daisy is called the floral disk. You always do amazing work!🌼❤️🌿
Hi Trish...that is great. Thanks for letting me know about the floral disk and for such a great comment. I really appreciate it. Take care and have a great weekend. 😊
Hi Dave! I love the wreath boards. I have made the sunflowers on the wreath boards but not the daisy. The white is beautiful. I think the attachment for the center is called a cable tie. I used them for the sunflower. Beautiful!
Hi there Iteria...thanks so much and now I know what they are called. I think I was living under a rock as I had never seen one....but now a huge fan of it and the wreath boards. Thanks again and take care. 😊
This flower wreath came out gorgeous. Dave!😍 Can't wait to try it...have to find that base you used. Glad to see I'm not the only one who still uses technical terms like "do-hickey"...❣️😉😊
Hahaha..yes "do-hickey" seems to come out of my mouth often...LOL. Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words. You can get the boards at Dollar Tree as well as online. Take care. 😊
WOW! Great kit, marvelous concept, love the mesh. The green is so pretty, and the shape of the petals are beautiful. This form is so different from the wire-metal ones, I like it. HOWEVER, it takes a talent like you, with great patience and skill, to make it as beautiful as it is. You did this kit such justice! You make this company look good! Great job!
Hi Gizmo, thank you so much for such a wonderful comment. Yes, the kit is a great kit for sure, I totally agree. With a little patience and taking it slow, I think anyone can do this wreath. It was just so fun to make. Thanks again for such a great comment. Take care. 😊
Hi Brown Suga....thank you so much for watching and for such a great comment. I got some boards from the DT as well and am going to try them out in the near future. Take care. 😊
What an awesome kit. That turned out just beautiful.. I guess the Dollar trees are supposed to carry those forms now.. But I've yet to find them at mine.. I would love to make one of those types of flowers... I think a poinsettia would be gorgeous made with that form.. Hint Hint!!! 😜 LOL!!! Thanks Dave for showing us another beautiful wreath... 😁😁👍👍🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hi Tamala....I was actually lucky enough to get some of the small and larger wreath boards from the Dollar Tree. I think I picked up two of the small and about six of the large ones. I hope you can find them in your local DT soon. I am thinking of some creative ways to use them for upcoming seasons.....lol. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I love this wreath, Dave. Lady Bug is sooo cute!! Very nice for spring and summer. Well done!! :) You have a great weekend. We are celebrating our July 4th this weekend. Woohoo!! LOL.
Hi PK....I am in love with this wreath as well. Just so fitting of the sunny seasons. Thank you so much!!!! Oh that's great that you're celebrating your Independence Day this weekend...YAY....Happy July 4th to you and yours!!! All the best and take care. 😊😊😊😊😊
That's absolutely gorgeous, I would love to make it. But I cannot get the kit in my country, I would have to buy it directly from Unique In The Creek 😔
Hi JoAnne, a little bit of work, but worth it in the end. 😊 Deco mesh has a tendency to fray, but I tend to use methods that hide the fraying, like the ruffle method or curly/loop method. Also, using a burning tool to cut your mesh will help seal the mesh and stop it from fraying. I did not use the burning tool in this video as the mesh was higher in quality than the dollar store mesh and seemed to be a ton less fraying. Hope that helps. 😊
I am using a woodburning tool to cut the mesh to make the angel wings wreath, but I think this may be my last mesh project for a while. It is slow and not so fun. I like making crepe paper flowers, which are stunning and versatile. I haven't done a lot with mesh, but it is a difficult material to work with since it frays so much.
@@DavesWreaths Hi Dave just one more thing the foam on the back of these cables mounts you might wanna take them off as well because they do tend to come off overtime I usually put hot glue and E6000 on the mount right on the black plastic before putting it on the back of anything. Hope this helps
@@rhondalovett8538 Oh that is a great tip, thank you so much!!! I appreciate you reaching out and giving me all your tips and tricks. YAY!!! Have a great day.
Hi Lucille. Thank you so much and I'm so glad you enjoy my page. In order to keep the mesh from fraying, which is hard to do as mesh frays...that's just the nature of the beast....I try to use a better quality mesh, sometimes that's hard to come by as well. Or you could use methods that prevent frays, like the bubble method that hides the cut edges and fraying. Or the ruffle method when you fold over the cut edges and then do your ruffle. Those are a couple methods that help reduce fraying. There are sprays that you can buy that will hold the mesh, kind of like an acrylic spray that binds it together. I have never tried this as I'm afraid of discolouration, but was told it was really affective at keeping the fraying down to a minimum. And you can also use a burning tool, they are found on Amazon or any craft supply store. It's like a wood carver, but with a heated blade that you can cut the mesh with and that will "melt" it and reduce the fraying. I hope that helps a bit. Take care.
Hi Diana...thanks for letting me know they only have the fall kits right now. That's too bad, hopefully they'll get some more in soon. Happy Canada Day to you as well 😊
The square piece is a cable mount. I've been following Laurie since before she got the Patton for her wreath boards, so happy you didn't use the knock off, great job 👏
Hi Joan, that's great that you're a fan of Laurie's. This is my first wreath kit from her...and I am now a dedicated fan as well. Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful daisy wreath! I really like how you show and explain how to create the petals. The little square pieces are cable mounts and can be found at the hardware stores. Thank you for sharing this pretty flower!
So beautiful - and easy - - and just like you said "clean" - - nothing bulky or cumbersome to work with. Looooove it!!!

I am hooked on UITC boards. ♥♥
I am now as well. I have just ordered a whole bunch more. 😊
I would totally love to learn how to make this..my granddaughter Athena loves to water my daisy's
Hi Amy…it’s pretty simple once you do a few petals and then you just repeat it. 😊😊😊
That was a ton of work! How are you getting your mesh not to fray?

I think it's a very tough material to work with unless it's not cut.
