Two old folks visit Maropeng

A few weeks back we took the grandchildren to the Maropeng exhibition for a Saturday outing. It’s a good thing to do. Maropeng - in the Setswana language Returning to your roots - is an hour and a half’s drive from Johannesburg and the roads are well signposted. You can see real fossils, learn how humankind was born, view stone tools a million years old, and play interactive games. And, if you are so inclined, ponder deeper questions like: who are we as a species and why are we here?
