Zermatt, Valais Switzerland: the Home to the Matterhorn

What can I say about Zermatt? This was my second time visiting this beautiful village of Zermatt. The first time was in January 2018, and it was a magical experience as it was all covered in snow. This time it was in summer.
In this video I am going to show you around the beautiful village of Zermatt, the main village center and beautiful panoramas from the surrounding high points.
Zermatt is situated in the canton of Valais in the southern part of Switzerland. Zermatt is located in the Pennine Alps border to Italy. The nearest town is Visp, and from there we took a scenic train ride to Zermatt. Zermatt is a car free village, and access to Zermatt is only by train.
Zermatt is one of the few places in the world that still has a sense of tranquility and pure happiness. This is mainly because Zermatt is a place where the embrace of nature unfolds in every corner of this Alpine heaven. The air in Zermatt is fresh, it carries a strong scent of pine, while we enjoyed the symphony of birdsong and the gentle rustle of leaves. Tranquility became a constant companion while we explored Zermatt's charming streets lined with traditional chalets decorated with colourful flowers and balconies. The absence of cars adds to the peaceful atmosphere, and it allowed us to stroll leisurely, while we absorbed the rustic beauty and Zermatt's charm. Nature unfolded in all it's glory as we walked into the surrounding landscapes.
There are many hiking trails in Zermatt which promise encounters with cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear mountain lakes, panoramic views that stretch to the horizon and the presence of the Matterhorn all along. The Matterhorn's prominent position overlooking Zermatt, can be felt from all over Zermatt. Standing majestically over Zermatt, added a touch of mystique to our visit's experience. Zermatt is surrounded by numerous mountains in the Pennine Alps. These mountains include; Matterhorn, Monte Rosa Massif, Dent Blanche, Weisshorn, and Zinalrothorn. All these mountains are all over 4,000m A.S.L.
