Despite being captivated by its beauty and price, we faced challenges with mortgages and financing, and realized it was the first place we had seen, which made us biased.
After viewing several more properties in France and Scotland, we expanded our checklist and refined our preferences, but ultimately felt disconnected due to language and cultural differences. Finally, we turned our search to Ireland, where we were living and working at the time. Ireland captured our hearts, and we knew it was the place for us.
