My favorite 10cc tune...rush makes reference to it in "I think I'm going bald"...
10cc's first two albums, 10cc (self-titled debut album) and Sheet Music (the 2nd album) are absolute classics and well worth listening to in their entirety, Biz. "Rubber Bullets", "Headline Hustler", "The Dean and I", "Speed Kills", "The Worst Band in the World", "Silly Love", great stuff!
Yep, man I really hadn't even thought about most of those in years. I literally just wrote myself a note to put them on a playlist for work tomorrow. Truly appreciate that, I owe you one
@@richardcranium5048 Cool! 10cc's first two albums were sooo good. I was a bit disappointed by their later hits which I didn't think were as good as the earlier stuff. When I think of the early 10cc stuff, I think of Sparks third album, Kimono My House, with the hit "This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both of Us. A lot real good songs on that album. I still recall the first time I heard "Rubber Bullets" on WNEW FM, Scott Muni's Things from England show, and how it knocked me out immediately.
Sheet music has one of their most underrated songs. Somewhere in Hollywood. Prog rock heaven
@@RockChickFace After listening to it today for the first time in years, I have to agree with you. I never thought Somewhere in Hollywood to be prog rock, and the term wasn't even around when the album came out. I just thought the song to be 10cc weirdness when it came out, but it is prog. Good catch, Ian.
@@KennyY-bh3zl 10cc weirdness i like that. Kevin godley has done his own version on you tube. A song you play and you keep humming it😎👍
Great song, great music. 🎶🎶👍
Watch Godley & Creme~Cry, 2 members from 10cc.
Great live band!
Not only was their music great, they were super lyricists too!!
They're from my home town, Manchester UK. Makes me proud. Brilliant group. High intelligence.
@@jonathanbirch2022 They largely recorded at Strawberry Studios in Stockport. The Jewish members came from North Manchester. Eric Stewart was from East Manchester. Great band.
@@777petew i just find it funny because my sister was born in Stockport and it's a bit of a dump lol
10cc is an absolutely brilliant band. Campy humor mixed with intelligent art rock.
EDIT: cc is the abbreviation for cubic centimeter. 1cc is equal to 1 milliliter. I'm not sure I want to tell you why they call themselves 10cc - it's a dirty joke - but here it goes ---- The average ejaculate from a man is 9cc. They are basically saying that they are better than the average man.
Rubber Bullets, Wall Street Shuffle and Art for Arts Sake are three great 10cc numbers that should have got more attention.
N.1
YES! 10cc are the business.
