I got this phone on Saturday. Went from an iPhone 13 to this. No regrets. I love it. Great phone. Had a few Samsung's in the past so didn't take me long to get used to the phone either. I really like it. Really nice. Battery life is awesome (most important thing to me when it comes to electronics). Definitely worth getting.
Is the camera is better than the iPhone 13?

How's the battery life compared to the iPhone 13. I'm buying a new phone. And the iPhone 13 and S23 are the same price in my country. Kinda confused since I've a Mac/iPad and Apple Ecosystem. My current phone is a broken Mi 11.

I also prefer the smaller for factor. I have tablet, laptop and tv for viewing content. When I'm on the go I want something pocketable.
I've just upgraded from an S10 and have upgraded to S23 and its been a really good upgrade. I plan to keep using this phone for another 4-5 years again and I think its the best flagship phone from the last couple years
S22 to s23 upgrade for me was well worth it. Battery life has been noticeable and my signal at work is much more stable.

@@jokast8861 If you experienced using the s22 day to day, it is a justified upgrade. For context, this s23 has a longer battery life than my previous oneplus 8 pro, which has a bigger battery.and that says a lot

Awesome review. Also, newer samsung flagships have a photo enhancement feature available even for photos downloaded from the Internet. To use it, you need to open a photo and tap on the three dots on the bottom right corner and select remaster picture.
I upgraded to the S23+ from the S20+ last week. I can't say enough positives about
this phone. The speed and battery life are what stand out to me. The display specs may be better on my S20+ but, in real life, I just can't say that it beats the S23.
I do agree with you. Anybody with a S21 or better can probably wait till next year's phone unless they can get a great deal.
I had a s21 and I think it was worth the upgrade could I have waited? Obviously but I didn't feel like it 🤷♂️ I got the 256gb version same price as the 128 as well as the buds2 pro for 66 bucks 950 out the door to me isn't a bad deal for both.
@Chris D I JUST got my credit from Verizon. Ended up with an $800 credit from my S20+ and got the 512 gig for the 256 price. The $1,100 phone ended up costing me 200 bucks divided over three years. Got talking to customer service and they also gave me a $10/month loyalty credit. That literally wiped out the cost of the phone. The bill went up 12 bucks because I added insurance. Totally stoked on the deal I got.

@@Robsbrd99 heck yea I got a good trade in deal on my s21 I traded in my s10 for the s21 as an even trade with att. I still have my s21 though I bought the s23 outright. Im on that same deal you are on with my s21 where they give you credits over 3 years thats why I had to keep it. Im not complaining though back up extra phone I guess 🤷♂️

Nice review! In any case, it's clear that people completely leave the primary and initial function of a telephone. Namely, telephone and not carry around with a tablet of chocolate in hand! They are huge. Might as well buy a camera at that price if it's to take pictures. After each his use... This S23 in 256Gb catches my eye and it makes me happy to know that the 8G2 allows for better battery management to last longer!

I have 256 gb version and is a little beast. My old phone was Exynos s20 ultra, and the difference in games and temperature is huge. I simply love it so far and the battery is decent.

@@sivakumargoud3631 is a one day phone for regulary use. It is a good phone so far, have it for 6 days and is smooth and responsive like an iphone. The fingerprint sensor works with a thin glass screen protector very well. I dont regret buyin this phone. But be sure to buy 256 gb version. The system itself is 70gb

I’m also glad to see this video. I’m considering the 23+ due to being legally blind. I had considered the ultra but it’s to bulky & heavy with case for me. Not seen many 23+ video’s compared to the ultra and this is the first S23 video I’ve came across. You done a great job with it! Guess I’ll find out how the 23+ does once I get it

Great review. I was a Nokia boy years ago, then Samsung S?, S?, S6, S10 and now S23. This is another great Samsung epic phone, totally brilliant, and I got a really great deal on it. Best phone out there.

this is the one. perfectly flat up front and curved at the corners so it easily slips into a pocket. better overall performance than the S22 and no noticeable seams. this thing is durable and should last quite a while. very pleased I traded up to the S23 🙂

Hey, thanks for the review and I have to agree budget phones are good enough to get I just wish they make a small one like the S 23 but all the budget phones they all have 6.7 inch or 6.6 inch screens. Nobody makes a mid range phone that’s 6 inches or less, so I don’t like big phones I want to. I want to see a normal size phone or even a small phone but your choices are an iPhone 13 mini or a galaxy S 23 there is no mid range smallish phone.

The charger in the box would surely be appreciated. Even though at home i use 100W 5-port charger to charge multiple devices at once. The extra charger would work as an extra one for trips and such.

I was reading somewhere that the S23 with the SD8Gen2 doesn't sudtain performance over a period of stressing
Like while running 3Dmark wildlife extreme test repeatedly, the performance numbers dropped significantly after every single iteration.

Good review but dont tell that 10x is not practical in ultra. Even 30x looks fantastic and I many times I have desired of having a zoom lens while clicking many pictures that are far

Did you make any settings? I got my device yesterday and in my first 2 usage i receives an average 4.5 hrs of SOT

@@srobeck77Did you know that charger breaks and people sell the old phone with the old charger? Despite having a few phones over the years I never had spare chargers, in fact I had to buy chargers for things that didn't had one. Having too many chargers is a USA problem. You ain't going to save the world by saving on the charger, it's greenwashing that gives more profit for the smartphone company.

@@srobeck77 There is a law that is mandatory that things sold in Brazil should have everything needed to be usable included in the box. The energy that's delivered at the outlet is AC, a phone charges with DC, so the charger is not optional to use a phone. I seek my interests, I don't care about a company profits. If you want to make a difference you should practice more conscious consumption, people don't need a new shiny smartphone every year.

I know it's been 3 months now but.... I always had the galaxy note 9.... I was going to upgrade to the a54 as a gift for me but then I realized that I got the s23. First day of using it is SO GOOOD. Coming from a old phone this really made me happy especially for gaming!

I don't use my S22+ enough to warrant an upgrade to the S23+, but the plus has always been my choice (Tab S7+ owner, for example). Great balance for me. Great review!

Did you use the S23 in standard or light performance mode?
Adaptive mode, which is 120hz. All other settings are standard.
@@KevinRiazi adaptive mode is for the screen settings, not light performance mode (for the cpu). That can be found in battery settings.

I'll stay with S20FE till S24. The more I wait, the bigger the jump. S22 and S23 shares the same camera, therefore S24 will come with better hardware camera.
Plus S20FE is still a pretty solid device.
Good move. S23's camera improvements are noticeable but it's software optimization and image processing aren't all that impressive if you're a S20FE owner. I miss having the Micro SD card slot with that phone!
@@KevinRiazi I think it has cons and pros. Storage will be way faster than Micro SD card, especially some cheap one. But anyway, external card might be useful from time to time, so as long we have SIM tray it wouldn't hurt to keep the option for SD card.
I mean you could have traded in that 20 for a s23 pre-order carrier deal and almost got it for free. But hey you go get that s24

But if you record something on the regular camera app and post in on like tiktok, instagram, whatsapp does the quality then drop alot? I heard a lot of people say that the quality drops. I want to upgrade. I got the Fold4 and I'm still using my Note10+. Having a really hard time leaving the Note series.
What about the shutter lag? It's a big problem when you are trying to shoot something which is moving.

8hr battery life scores are not realistic. I have s23 since february. Average is 5-5:30 hours with default settings and periodic dark mode. I never exceeded 6 hour mark yet.i start the day at 8am and the phone dies around 10-11pm.
if you use still s21 with exynos chip, upgrade to s23 is a big win, great battery, great performance and they also handle the heat in s23 really well
Had the so 20 ultra exynos, mu s23 blows it outta the water performance wise.

What I find crazy, is that I almost wish I skipped the s23 and just got the a54. Bigger battery and SD expansion are more important than a faster chip or processing speed.

Thank you! Depending on the price difference between the S23 & S24 in your region, I would go with one of those over the Pixel phones. If the price difference is not significant, the S24 will be a great choice because of long term software update support.

Still have the S21 Ultra... Hard to let it go. Verizon keeps pushing me to upgrade but I'll prolly wait till the S24 Ultra. S23 looks sleek. Not sure why they turned the Ultra into a Note and made it more square... Not a fan. I'll just keep my 21.

I agree. I must have a lemon because there's no way I can get decent screen on time. I've cut most "flagship" features off, use 60 hz display and can't even eek 4 hours out of this phone. I should have kept my iPhone that got twice the battery life of the S23. First chance I get to trade this it's gone. But I am happy with the performance just wish I could use it without having to charge it twice a day
Still use my 4 year old A70 and consider upgrading to either S23 or wait S24, iphone 15 pro, pixel 8 or flip 5.

You should have considered this 2 months ago when all the sweet pre-order deals were offered by carriers for the s23. Too late now....
I think it would be a good upgrade if you can find a deal on the S23 Ultra. At the current retail figure, I believe the Ultra version is overpriced. IMO, it is not worth paying the price difference between it & the base model S23 with 256GB storage.

Yes, absolutely. But the upcoming Galaxy A54 5G may also cover your needs with a much lower price. If you have your sights set on buying a flagship device, then S23 is a good way to go 👌
How can you get 8+ hours of screen on time? I can't believe this. I'm getting max 5 hours 30 mins SOT. No gaming, just instagram, messenger and youtube.

@Kevin Riazi I would love to have the battery endurance you are describing but I truly can't get past 5 hours 30 minutes. I'll try to reset my phone and if it doesn't fix it I'll take it to the service.

Big improvment over the S22. I can easily get through the day with 40% left. Again this depends on the person and how they use their phone, but for sure much better than the S22.

hello there, thanks for your detailed review, it was really informative. I have a question. i just got my s23. Im really loving the crazy good performance and stuff but unfortunately, the battery at the moment has been a let down for me, I tried testing in a normal day with moderate use, I was expecting to have around 4-6hours of SoT from 85% with sync, bluetooth and wifi on, but im getting only around 3-4 hours of SoT. DO you think this is normal? because compared to youtube reviews like yourself, u get around 8-9hrs of SoT from 100%. It made me paranoid and thought i got a unit with a defective battery. Do you think its possible sir?

It is certainly possible that you have a defective unit. The best way to test this is to remove your SIM card and perform a battery drain test for multimedia use (like a 8hr long 4K nature video). I recommend turning off background sync on as many apps as you can, while only connecting to WiFi and turning brightness up to full. If the phone can last 8-10 hours of this usage, your phone almost certainly does not have a defect. If it cannot last 8 hours of multimedia use, the best move is to take use of your warranty/return policy. FWIW, I hope the issue is just that your phone has too many background tasks syncing. That would be an easy problem to solve!
@@KevinRiazi hello, i just went on safe mode, and tested the 8k video, it was varying from 480-1080p. The battery drain is around 10% for 1hour straight. I had bluetooth off, light performance profile and set on adaptive.
Regarding the syncs, i am only having 3 of my gmail accounts syncing and outlook and whatsapp, it shudnt be too much right?

@@Jeffvs 99% of the ppl would prefer to have an SD card reader rather than being ripped off and being forced to pay an extra $100 for 128 gigs of extra internal storage. Plus you get the highest possible sound quality with wired headphones.
Could anyone help me out here right now I have a galaxy s7 and I really need an upgrade and I was thinking about buying either this phone or the A34 5g and was wondering which one is better, I understand this is more expensive and was thinking is it worth it ( if I buy it fast enough I believe they give me £300 to spend on online adidas shops which is also a plus)
