The laptop battery issue could also be software issue. It's usually good to fully discharge then recharge to reset battery meter before exploring replacement battery option
Just found your UA-cam page. Thank you for putting this information together. I was a computer technician for 2+ years and just got my tech support position at a University. This is really going to help a lot. I start in about a week, so I'm doing a bit research/training before day 1.
this is great, ive been comptia a+ certified for a couple months now, right now im working with computer hardware workstation installation at major software companys. using it fill to my resume up since my work history is mostly healthcare. looking for a help desk job now

Just watched Ep.1 and looking forward to soaking up the rest over the next few days! Thanks mate nice job on the execution, love the way you created the ticket system very smart!
You seem like a good humble person, I decided to go through all your list to build good knowledge, and improve my skills since iam help desk IT. Thank you for the list.
Here! Love your content - thanks for the work you put in. Automatic (Delayed Start) Is a start up type you would assign to a service that you do not want to start during the initial boot when more important services/applications are firing up. I think of it like prioritizing certain services for granular boot performance modifications.
Hello, I am not an IT pro, but I had an interesting thing to happen a few days ago. I was ready to copy/paste a doc from pc screen using prt sc. I tried the normal way I do it, and nothing happened. That was bad, because it all the time. It turned out that Windows 10 had deleted it. To bad. Whoever has some clout with Windows 10 should get them to correct that. Buy the way, I do subscribe to a company which trouble shouts pc problems sort like what you are talking about. Well, anyway, I found out that Windows 10 had droped prt sc. Thanks!
Hey Ervin, could you please give numbering to this playlist to bring most out of it , new to your channel , loves your easy style of teaching I mean from 1 to ...
@20:45 you said if you dont like Help Desk job, you can try side desk job? can explain what do you mean by that and what are the job titles for that sort of job please?
How do you troubleshoot hardware issues when you can't actually physically touch the hardware yourself and the customer calls back and says that it is unresolved even though you may have given them a solution or multiple solutions
When it comes to hardware, all you can do is give/try possible solutions with customer on the phone. If that does not work, then you would forward the ticket to a local IT.
Morning! thank you for this wonderful course. I very much appreciate you for sharing your knowledge. I'm going to be starting your course today. What platforms do I need to connect or use in order to practice the labs? Thank you!
hey cobu, my first week as help desk and they have zoom conference. no audio from microphone.speaker display says connect via cable (though it was already connected). turns out bluetooth connection dropped. so basic i'm dissapointed i missed that. video conferencing i.e teams and zoom is serious weak area. can you please create a playlist or video for troubleshooting video conferencing? Thank you
Present! I have a interview for a local level 2 sys tech next week and I'm freaking out that I am not prepared! I don't have any formal IT training but I have 3 decades of computer build/maintenance experience. Any ideas to help me land the position would be most welcome! Thanks all and have an awesome day!
I would read the job description and study/refresh on specific requirements. If it's Help Desk, then you just need to show computer knowledge and customer service. I have tons of videos on Help Desk with various issues and solutions.
@@Cobuman much appreciated! I'm working my way through your playlists. If I'm going to be working in a mainly Windows 10 environment, do you think I should I focus on Azure AD or standard? They use Teams so I'm assuming windows 365 environment.
Sure thing. Desk side just means that you are a Tech Support person at that office location. This position is better than Help Desk because you are not on the phone all the time and get to talk to users face to face.
can anyone help me understand why a lot of people say type services.msc in the search bar, instead of just services? correct me if im wrong, but isnt it the same thing? why do we need .msc?
Great question. Some of the computers in a work environment are lock down to a point where you can't "run as administrator" the normal shortcut to services. Usually when a standard user is logged in... so, to bypass this you need to type and search for services.msc which is not a shortcut and is located at C:\WINDOWS\system32. Here is another example. Device Manager is blocked when standard user is logged in, but if you type devmgmt.msc you can right click and "run as admin" and makes changes using your admin login id and password. Otherwise, you would get an error that would say it's blocked by administrator.

Hello
What is the difference between help desk and desk side tech jobs?
help desk is basically a call center, while desk side is on site tech support.

Hey Ervin, what exactly is a "desk side" job??
Tech support at the office where you support people who work inside of that building.
