in Lily, the sepals fuse on top of petals. this is known as tepal. cluster of tepals = perianth. you will see 3 large size tepals & 3 small size tepals, that r fused to each other. thats why in floral formula its P(3+3) A3+3 G_3
@@SeriousStudent603 so basically the petal is the large supposed to be attractive part of the plant (its smell ec its tempting for animals and etc togo to it attraction is a must) and sepals are always below the petals like in the video it shows. sepals is the flower bud protection like from google this definition is pretty good if wanna differentiate.. Sepal: The outer parts of the flower (often green and leaf-like) that enclose a developing bud. Petal: The parts of a flower that are often conspicuously colored.
