- LTC Travis Habhab is an Apache pilot! He commanded 1-1 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion at Fort Riley, KS. Listen to LTC Habhab talk about great leaders that he worked for, his #1 leadership tip, his expectations of his junior leaders, and his advice for Aviation junior leaders.
You forgot the most important advice for a young LT or CPT coming into an aviation unit, LISTEN to your senior Warrant Officers. I can't tell you how many times we tried to reinvent the wheel with new so called ideas. I worked for LTC McConville when he was the Squadron Commander at 2/17, great leader. He always consulted his senior warrants before making aviation decisions. We turned 2/17 into a great unit under his leadership.
Good advice for young leaders. Great leadership lessons learned. You represent us Wildcats well. All the best to you as G3!
A simple message and is incredibly effective. It was fun servicing with you.
Wow what great answers Travis gave such good advice for leaders of any age.
