You forgot the most important advice for a young LT or CPT coming into an aviation unit, LISTEN to your senior Warrant Officers. I can't tell you how many times we tried to reinvent the wheel with new so called ideas. I worked for LTC McConville when he was the Squadron Commander at 2/17, great leader. He always consulted his senior warrants before making aviation decisions. We turned 2/17 into a great unit under his leadership.
