Holy crapola this is way more complex than I thought it was.
Last week I headed out to pick and pull for two mirrors for my 2004 ford and all I brought was a drill and my screwdrivers. I was turned away because I had my four year old son with me. I was mad. But I am less mad today because I wouldn’t have been able to remove them anyway.
So from me to you, THANKS.
You make it seem like I will still be able to achieve this by myself; I was just unaware that you had to go through the door- makes sense tho.

Great vid, was a big help. I just installed the same mirrors on my 08 f150, was very excited to find out both blinkers and puddle lights worked. Not sure why the stock mirrors only had the turn signal on the passenger mirror when both were wired from the factory.

@bobby greenwood, do you still have the link for the mirror that you bought? I have an 06 F150 and I would like to upgrade my mirrors to this but I would like for the turn signal to work, but do want to add any electrical stuff

Thanks bro; good video. Unfortunatley I have done this before but just wanted a quick review.
The most complex part is getting the door pannel off and so many different tools. It goes much faster when all tools are kown beforehand rather than searching for each one when you need it.
Mirrors looks hard to remove but its very simple doing it in person.

I have these exact mirrors on my truck. I'm trying to figure out how to get it apart to replace the turn signal light. I know I gotta pop the mirror out but don't know how.
Hey bro so I took the side mirrors with the turn signals on them off of a 2008 lariat & put them on a regular 2006 f150 & the turn signals don’t light up at all. I did notice that the ones I put on were orange on the signals but on the old ones the left one only had the signal but it was clear. Just wondering how I can make the turn signals work

No 😂 no you should not be seeing yourself. You should see the sides of the rear of your truck and anything behind you.

Well sh*t. I was kinda hoping I could upgrade the mirror and make use of that little marker turn signal. Now I know it won't work. Saved me some $$$$.

If its for looks, its the stupidest thing u can get on that f150 but if its for towing its alright. The 2004-2008 already has one of the best side mirrors of all its competitors of that same year.
You of course plugged in the wiring connection at the mirror

Those mirrors have a separate motor for bottom mirrors so the other side will be hard to see out of
Just manually adjust them.

Gilbert espinoza As long as your factory turn signals work you will pass. These are auxiliary turn signals.
They also see them without signals built in
Depends where you live. In MA you add them they must work.

Gilbert espinoza because stock mirrors didn't have a turn signal, turn signals on new mirrors didn't work either because it requires an extra wire in the plug.
TheWillToFix That plug shown only controls defrost on that model. Was gonna wire in the puddle lights on mine for that conversion, but decided to just put puddle lights wired under door panel on bottom...I think they work better there anyway since the door isn't blocking half the light.
I take it your puddle lights didn't work either?
Keaton Wright yes puddle lights did not work. The only thing that works is defrost and of course adjusting the mirrors.

since you have turn signals as stock, new mirrors that come with turn signals should work. Mirrors on the video are only compatible from 2004-2006 F150. As per ebay link below.

I did get my tow mirrors and they are installed. I do have the old mirrors. 2005 F150 Lariat Screw - Power, heated and turn signals all working but the passengers side turn signal is missing part of the amber lens- (04-06 direct replacement and 07-14 some alterations need to be made to the pin outs)
I’m looking to buy new mirrors would I be able to use them on my 04 f150 if it says they fit an 07
