When he was trying to start in film, Stan Laurel got some bad news from the studio:
the pupils of his eyes did not show up on the type of film they were using. So he was in trouble.
Luckily though, a camera lab guy soon after came up with a lens treatment that fixed the problem
with recognizing people with washed-out eyes like Laurel. And the rest is eyeball history.

Mary Pickler Charlie Chaplin and Douglas Fairbanks Junior ran United Artist pictures I believe Lucille Ball was the second in charge to actually own and run the business besides Mary Pickler and he got a lot of pointers from Mary Pickler the way things were ran
