I believe us as fans of the project are super excited for the launch of every aspect of the game. We absolutely do not want the bad press or the stipulation of Illuvium using a crunch culture to produce its games. Nor do we want to rush a unfinished product. Investors may be in it just for the money. This game will succeed not be pleasing investors but by making a great game gamers will want to play for years to come. Ironically investors will benefit the most when gamers are put first. The game will make more money and stand the test of time with the Gamers hype and popularity. No bear markets in Video games!

illuvium will be an experience we gamers are missing a lot currently, a game made with love, soul and dedication. lately games are all about the money the owners can get from the players. earlier games were made out of pure love and for the joy of both the creators and the players. now it's all about in game purchases, monthly subscriptions, gacha, etc. there's no love, just wanting to bring out new stuff as fast as possible to keep making money. i prefer for the illuvium team to take all the time they need, because personally i believe they're creating something people will still be talking about in years!
I couldn't agree more!! You can see the love and dedication the team is pouring into the game, I don't ever want to see them lose that passion and fire they have!

Yes, spot on and agree100 %, we need to understand that delays are normal and I think personally that they are too fast for the ambitions and targets set, because it's not easy and it is very complex to build a game of this type, and the CODE should be very complex, when errors are occurring, sometimes takes couple of weeks to find the right way. A lot of people are questioning the delays and are not happy and they feel insecure about the project and I get it, not everybody has the same level of understanding the complexity and the problems that certainly are facing and the time sometimes that takes to fix them.

And I want to add another thing that it's normal and understandable in some cases and I 'm sure this is one of them, sometimes with their experience and knowledge they know they cannot deliver in time and they give dates for some reasons like, they need money or they need to reassure people , they need to bring the hype again and people getting involved and buying the token etc but this strategy it's absolutely normal and understandable.
And people are not happy in almost every gaming blockchain project because of delays and I can compare with another project that I am involved in and I believe long term, VULCAN FORGED, a great team, building the foundation etc... , they have released the beta version but because of quick release , they cannot implement the new things and they realize that need to REFACTOR , simply put they need to rewrite the CODE and make it more complex to be able to develop in consequence . So that foundation of the PYRAMID that you speak makes perfect sense because they need to be sure that the CODE it's strong and complex to support the implementations that are coming, if not you need to REFACTOR and takes a lot more time . So again, and sorry if I repeat myself but the most important aspect of building that foundation it's the complexity of the CODE that need to support all the changes that are coming or the possible changes , and this takes an amazing amount of time because they need to fix the inevitable errors

Thing is facts matter. Illuvium is NOT delayed, it actually had an unrealistic release date originally which isn't the same thing. Now, why was such an optimistic date set originally. We will never know. Seems to it had more to do with tokenomics than actual game development though.
I'm a fan of illuvium but it's important to stay objective, ask questions and avoid becoming a "believer." At the end of the day Hopium is just as fatal as fud. It just feels better
I do agree! I think that the dates originally set were unrealistic, my hope is that the team is taking this into account in their most recent roadmap 🤞
It's the personality type. They believe they can accomplish anything. It's a good thing because they will accomplish it. The downside with that personality type is that they tend to underestimate how long and hard what they want to do is.

Delays absolutely are new, and are mainly a web3 thing. People wonder why games cost hundreds of millions to make, well it's because they have standards that must be met, and timeline is usually a non negotiable. You cant just walk into the gaming industry and think youre going replicate what people are used to. First flaw is discord over moderation (fraggy has single handedly destroyed the community and scared away investors throughout time), second flaw is raising $ before a product is made, the final nail in the coffin is over promised timelines. When you sell land, then tell people 4 to 6 weeks (but it takes years), you lose. Simple as that. I recently invested big into Illuvium, and I hope they win, but lets not ignore their foundational flaws.
Cyberpunk 2077 delayed several times before its release in 2020
Red dead redemption 2 delayed twice before its release in 2018
Last of us part 2 delayed several times before release in 2020
Final fantasy XV delayed numerous times over its development before releasing in 2016.
This is but a handful of examples of AAA titles being delayed.

However, what I meant to emphasize is that the nature of delays and development challenges in the web3 gaming space is unique compared to traditional gaming. There are a few reasons for this:
Funding Model: In web3 gaming, developers often raise funds by selling assets like land or in-game items before the game is even developed. This creates a different set of expectations and pressure on developers, as investors are keen to see a return on their investment and may be less patient with delays.
Decentralized Nature: The decentralized nature of web3 games adds a layer of complexity that traditional games don't face. Developers need to navigate blockchain technology, smart contracts, and tokenomics, which can lead to unanticipated challenges and delays.
Evolving Industry: The web3 gaming industry is still in its infancy, and developers are learning as they go. This can result in more frequent delays and setbacks as teams encounter unexpected obstacles and learn from their mistakes.
Higher Expectations: Since web3 gaming is relatively new, there's a higher expectation for projects to deliver on their promises and timelines. Delays can be seen as a sign of poor management or lack of commitment, which can be detrimental to a project's reputation and success.
Now if you want to ignore these facts, than fine, but other companies are held to higher levels of standards by their investors and that's just the simple reality. It's called professionalism and unfortunately they have a long way to go. Getting into a argument with the head of star atlas is a prime example of something you'd never see happen in the AAA realm. Like who approved that type of publicity? Did the shareholders actually vote on that?
All this being said, I sincerely hope Illuvium steps it up like we all know they can. Working 80 hours a week? Nobody feels bad for you, you get to be apart of a dream so many of us would love to have the skill set or the opportunity to be apart of (& you're also getting filthy rich compared to the rest of us). We all want Illuvium to win, but pretending they don't have the problems I listed above is to deny reality. Denying reality won't bring the desired changes.
