My Mordheim Windmill is complete! This one features a fully functional interior with multiple floors and a lookout-point for sniping. The lookout-point can be reached through the inside of the building, by ladders and by utilizing the blades of the Windmill! A lot of game design-thinking went into this one and I really hope you like it! Please tell me what you think in the comments down below! Stay safe and lots of love to you all! 👍💙💛💙
@@DevsDice it's very true, you were the reason i came back to Mordheim after years of neglect. Still have no one to play it with but my city is ever-growing as are the number of Warbands.
YES YES YES. Ur channel made me fall in love with building and painting terrain to the point where ive built/painted about 4 boards worth of terrain in the passed year
@@DevsDice i can't wait for the day that you do. Im picturing the scene from pirates of the carribean where the waterwheel breaks off and starts rolling 😂
This was a good video for me, who has had to rip apart, rebuild, and come up with solutions on the fly in my builds lately. Seeing some of the anarchy that plagued this build was encouraging to know I am simply taking the "Scenic route" and building like Leif more than I realized! Great finished product
Very happy to see your New creation. I ''m just beginning building a watermill for my Mordheim terrain. You're my better way of inspiration. Have a good day. Thanks you.
Another whoppingly perfect build right here! Thanks to you I'm finishing up my Mordheim table based on your ideas and designs. You really brought me and my pals back into what we love the most in our dear little hobby. Please keep doing what you do best my firend. Much love being sent your way Leif
This comment hits me in the feels in so many ways, even to small details like your name. When people ask me for a elevator pitch of who I am I usually say: "A slightly smarter Ned Stark"! 😂 Hearing that my work has had that sort of positive effect is unreal to me. Thank you so much for sharing this! 👍💙💛💙
What a beautiful piece of interactive terrain you made there! Seems to go well with your Gallow Tree, mainly in the sense that they both seem rather 'rural' than 'urban'. Both could easily be part of a 'Outskirts of Mordheim' type of map with little forests, fences, farmhouses, a graveyard and the like!
Thank you so much! Yeah I have seen plenty of Windmill terrain projects but none that would fit Mordheim's demand on playability. So I figured, why not make one!? 👍😅
I really appreciate the functionality of all your builds. They all are excellent tabletop pieces. I would relish the opportunity to play a game with you if you ever make it to the states!
Thank you so much! I think it must be "the game designer" in me that is coming out more and more to be honest! That would be awesome! I have going to Gencon on my bucket list! 👍😅
Fantastic video as always! Always a highlight of the day to see a new upload. I would love to see you make a small fort/castle/garrison/ keep for Mordheim, I imagine it’ll look grand!
Thank you so much! It was designed in Adobe Illustrator and cut out on the laser cutter. The weight that weighs it down is just some steel plating I glued onto it! Hope that helps to clear things out! 👍😊
As always, your work is a delight to the eyes, the rotating blades are amazingly made. For more realism, it would be great to add millstones. But then the remnants of the broken vertical transmission from the blades will pass through the center of the entire structure.
Brilliant as ever leif,I started a game board which I now see was a big project a lot of things I didn’t foresee but your content always inspires me to get on ,thanks.

Amazing work, Leif! Having come up with the mechanics for the windmill mechanism, you're well on the path to developing and hosting "Wheel of Mordheim"! 😛
Hey Leif! Beautiful design and very inspirational! Love the aesthetic of this one too. Any chance you can share your windows file? And did you design them in Lightburn? 🤔
Fantastic build, Leif!! Love the strength of the post and beam construction with saddle joints and the ratchet piece for the shaft of the windmill. Epic, brother! -Rick, USMC
Hello from Ukraine, unfortunately I haven't tried Mordheim yet, but thanks for the videos that inspire me to make more and more terrain for other games.
Those Skaven clambering all over it, brilliant, you'll never get it back now .. unless theres a giant wheel somewhere in the city, they love wheels. Great windmill, lots of playability, cool locking mechanism, that would never have crossed my mind.

It's fantastic, the windmill being able to spin like that is genius too!

I love the stair design to wedge a base between steps, so much better looking that giant steps.
Right!? I have to say that this makes so much more sense in terms of visuals! 👍😊

Those Laser Cutter are a God send!
Yeah for sure! That being said I think I am only using 10% of it's capacity to be honest! 👍😅
