The only way that Dr Doom's character will be accurate is if he has his own origin movie and all the rights back to marvel. The villain of villains should have his own movie anyway. He's gotten screwed over so many times.
Yeah he won the actor lottery with Warcraft and Fantastic Four, the former of which is a video game movie which almost always end up as disasters and the latter of which is made by a group of people only making the movie to keep the IP away from Marvel Studios and Disney.
Ben Wilde Yep and it's an MMORPG that's sort of lacking a direct story, it's got one but I just can't see it working as a film plus Warcraft just feels like it's going to be one of those films where a lot of people talk about it but nothing really moves forward. They've been talking about stuff like Assassin's Creed and Halo being made into movies for years now and nothing has actually moved forward.
Timewarpiaman World of Warcraft the MMORPG is just one part of the Warcraft franchise. About 95% of the lore does not come from this game. The RTS games and the Novels are where most of the lore was created and is coming from. Knowing when this film is set and knowing about the lore in Warcraft, trust me this film will be good.
Timewarpiaman So from this reply I can immediately tell you're not really in the know of what you're talking about. Warcraft has already finished shooting and is in post-production. They've already had a big presentation at Blizzcon discussing details with cast and crew, including an exclusive trailer for those that were present. The movie is done and a release date has already been set for Marsh 2016. Public trailers (one for Horde, one for Alliance) should be released soon, my best guess is with the release of Jurassic World. Video game adaptations rarely succeed, this is true. But you fail to understand the circumstances of why they don't usually succeed and assume it will fail purely based on association. The situation here is completely different. Many video game companies ship off the rights to any bidder and barely care what happens after that. The process is handled recklessly. With Blizzard on the other hand, the project has been in the works since 2006 and the reason it took so long is because they wanted to be absolutely sure it was handled the right way and that the right people were hired. Blizzard doesn't rush things, they are known for this, and it's a big reason their games turn out great most of the time when they do finally come around. They have always maintained high quality in whatever they have pursued. Unlike others once again, they remained heavily involved in the making of the movie and Chris Metzen, senior vice president and story & franchise development at Blizzard, was directly part of the process. Direction was also given to Duncan Jones, who has a great track record so far. The movie includes cutting edge special effects that was described as Blizzard cinematic x10 at Blizzcon, that alone should say something of it's quality if you've ever watched a Blizzard cinematic. Many people involved with the making of the movie, including Jones, are actual Warcraft fans who are very familiar with the games. The movie was in good hands, I'm confident it'll turn out great.
Tiiger and I just can't see this doing very well, we haven't seen anything from this despite having started in 2006. Casting news is great and all but till the track record for video game movies improves I can't see this being any good.
great performance!!

Warcraft is LOTR esque tho it has a fantastic deep story line and universe where most other video game adaptations haven't.
