Insane or Inconceivable? If you want to watch me suck at some multiplayer I played some games over on my second channel: ua-cam.com/video/ApDlptrmULQ/v-deo.html
that corridor fight in the catacombs you ran into around the middle of the video gave me flashbacks, vietnam flashbacks. i never really rage quit a video game but that location was the sole exception
I'm more sad about them removing 4-player coop When I watched a 2-player let's play of Gears 4, the streamers weren't even aware that 4-player coop was axed, so the entire kidnapping section turned into a running gag about how they're waiting for their hypothetical player 4 to get their replacement character. "It seems like player 4 is still in spectator mode, what the heck?" When they saved Marcus, the streamers just said "Heeeey, player 4 is allowed to play again!" (still unaware that 4 player coop got axed)
Your biggest advantage is that you can heal, the enemies can’t. So you need to try and find a place to sit as far away as possible while you pick at their health until they eventually die, and if one of the drones rush you, empty a clip on them and hope for the best 💀 There are definitely some parts that are extremely unfair and not designed with this difficulty in mind. The airship fight is broken, that part in the old tomb where juvies and pouncers attack you is brutal. Defending the museum is devastating unless you sprint back to where you came from before the enemies spawn so you can shoot them in the back, and their ai encourages them to attack your teammates and not you. And without the memento more boltok that swarmak fight takes forever. If you enjoy a challenge, go for it! I wouldn’t play inconceivable for ‘fun’ tho
I’m so proud to be a member of that 0.09%. Gears of war is one of the few games where I’ll grind the campaign on the hardest difficulty for that ultra rare achievement. Beating gears of war 3 on insane took me 3 YEARS!!! (Was playing on and off) but god damn it felt so good getting that achievement
Inconceivable was essentially Hardcore enemy damage/health but with low ammo availability. The ammo shortage is what made it more difficult than it needed to be. Then again I grabbed the 1 shot kill boltok during act 2 and used it on every boss encounter for the rest of the game. Made the swarmak fight a breeze. Edit: I paused the video and typed this out right at the beginning. If I had waited 30 seconds he literally explained it in the video…
That’s what I been saying and telling people to do. 😂 Some people are too stubborn and hardheaded to restart the campaign again and most took my advice and went through it in a breeze.
2:29 Fun Fact: In the German dub, the UIR is called 'UDR', which almost sounds like 'UDSSR', which is funny considering that they are practically all speaking with a Russian accent (at the very least in the German dub)
Huh. Found you from your Doom 3 vid yesterday. Just finished it and then you upload this. Good timing, and thanks for entertaining me as I deal with the Vid.
People may not believe me but my hand to god on my mother and cats life (my cat is basically my child) i beat gears 1s raam boss battle on insane when i was i think 9 or 10 at the oldest. Which is insane looking back. But i played a lot of gears as a kid, since probably 2007 when my brother first showed me the berserker scene i was hooked, and got gears 2 3 and 4 on opening day. I was 9 when gears 2 came out november 2008 , and beat it in the first 24 hours. I played gears 2 so much the disc actually stopped working, even tho i was very careful and gentle because i loved it so much, it legit just stopped working and would automatically give the red ring of death. No other games did, everything worked fine, except eventually halo reach and cod black ops 1 did the same thing because i played those so much too. I loved gears so much i legit played it before school and after school. I look back on the times i beat raam on insane as a kid, not even 12 years old yet, and it baffles me. Id have a hard time today trying to beat raam on insane, at least i think i would because i had to sell all my consoles to survive in the pandemic and still havent been able to replace them. Also beat halo 3 and reach on legendary when i was 11, again no idea how i did that. But it happened, and while i was pretty good at gears and halo reach i sucked at most games. I just played those 2 enough to where i was definitely better than average. I loved hearing grown men bitch and moan when they realized they lost to a squeaker LOL the amount of times i was called homophohic slurs by sore losers i couldnt even count. Ahh good times.
Am I the only person who beat this campaign on the hardest difficulty by using the one shot boltok pistol (momento mori) from doing the Dom and Maria Easter egg in the graveyard section and saved most of the shots up until that Brumak boss fight?
24:48: Bro, what? I hope chat chewed you out for that one, dog, lol. What happened to 'take your time' on this difficulty? Literally sprinted out into the open in a game that spawns enemies on a trigger point system. Did you not hear the sound queue from the Guardian or something? Seemed like a pretty ill-advised move to me.
It has been ages since I last played head 4, but from what I remember, when the stormfront hits, you either wanna sit in cover or rush forward. Your instincts tell you to keep moving as a lightning could spawn inside you at any time (those sections are quite BS) Whether or not that particular section spawned lightnings is something I can't recall, but the section hits the vibe sufficiently. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody assumed this section to spawn lightnings from false-memory while playing. At least that's what would've happened to me. Tryin' to say, I can see why one would make this mistake. Your criticism is valid, I'm just trying to offer an explanation as to how somebody might end up making the wrong choice there from my PoV
i literally just completed insane difficulty, took me about a week because of work but i was losing my SHIT; when i got the achievement pop up for unlocking inconceivable it was a mix between utter disbelief, relief, and the sad realization i spent _hours_ thinking “yeah i can’t wait to complete every gears game on the hardest difficulty, now i can finally do my chronological replay on casual before i play 5” NOPE, i don’t know why i do this to myself; i should just play for the story first _and then_ go for achievements
Gears 4 amd 5 are so bad. I want to be optimistic about the Prequel next year but its still developed by The Coalition. Maybe they fired enough people in management for the new game. At least I hope so.
@@acey6991I loved ultimate edition and I never really found any problems with it after playing since release . I get some people don’t like the new graphics but what else is wrong with the game??
to me ironman is a modifer rather than a difficulty setting since you can do ironman on any difficulty, but yeah i agree ironman on hardcore+ is more difficult
I remember it being almost impossible for me to finish this on insane, I did do it but inconceivable? I doubt I can. I’m doing a gears 5 inconceivable right now but the fact you can abuse jacks powers and can give you infinite ammo/no cooldowns is the ONLY way I could do it. But I refuse, absolutely refuse to believe anyone on the planet would be able to finish this on inconceivable Ironman. I don’t believe it’s even possible, unless you spent years trying. Even then, it takes 3 seconds, a single mistake. Even if you know where the enemy spawns and what your facing there’s no way you can finish the entire game without making a single mistake. It has to be impossible, has to be. I’m sure there’s someone who’s done it but I would argue that person was using glitches or some other tricks
Insane or Inconceivable?

Inconceivable
Gears of War 4 is like that one squidward meme where he puts down his chair because things get interesting but pack up because things get boring.
that corridor fight in the catacombs you ran into around the middle of the video gave me flashbacks, vietnam flashbacks.

Gears 4 had such a great intro, then proceeded to nosedive directly after
The prologue was so cool!
The new crew had no personality or individuality. You could put a gear helmet on them and nothing would change.
@@AlisTyrone That’s certainly an opinion, son

Awesome that Marcus Fenix also voices Bender from Futurama
I think he also voices Jake from Adventure Time.

They're pretty implied to be referencing the Soviets, even down to the mock-up propaganda posters and their astronauts being called cosmonauts

Heck yeah :). Welcome!
I remember playing the games when I was a kid and eventually played them all on the hardest difficulties and man it was a blast
Nothing like beating the game before you can beat the game lol. Another successful run
I never made it past the DB section in this game
Swear to god, they want to see the players lose their minds

That’s the smart way to do it, I just brute forced it tho 🤣
@ work smarter, not harder.
The only reason us fans buy gears 4 and 5 was bc of Delta Squad and Marcus Fenix himself (tho gears 4 was rlly fun in my opinion)
Solid. I really liked the falling chains bit, thats some great game design.
Cool level, sorta wish they used that idea more often
I found insane to be harder than inconceivable. Hardcore Ironman is the real challenge for me.
Bro not gonna lie I just know I don’t have the will power to get this achievement 😭😭
Ich habe gears 1 / 2 / 3 & judgment auf insane durchgespielt,
aber das hier ist mir echt zu schwer. Well done

That’s the truth
Look at that. Finally the first one to comment. lol
Ok I'm weird....Gears 4 is either my favourite or tied for Gears 2.
I am one of those 0.09😍
So when you doing a no death run??😂
Honestly I kinda want to before e day drops. Though I’d probably just try it on hardcore
