The mountains of Assynt pushed me out of my comfort zone

- In this video, I get a taste of the mountains of Assynt. I start photographing them from the safe ground level, and finish with a hike to one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen in a while. But getting there took a lot of work… and risks, because the strong winds made that hike much more sketchy than it should have been otherwise.

"The good news is it's not getting any worse." Made me laugh out loud.
Haha it’s something to celebrate
Thanks!
I'm sorry! I totally missed your donation. Thank you so much for your support, I really appreciate it!
That was a seriously windy day. Thanks for taking us along.
Climbed Suilven just last Wednesday during the good weather. Not really done much photography since covid but what an amazing landscape 🤩 Wish I had bumped into you, watched your videos for a long time now
Nice job! That’s a much more challenging climb, good to hear you got good weather. It’s a beautiful landscape and see it from high up is a treat.
Fantastic video again. Assynt is a special place.
That view down the gulley to the Stac was worth it, Looking forward to seeing more of the adventure.
It totally was. Now I have to go back and climb the actual Stac 😊
I had a similar challenge this week hiking up to Glyder Fach in Snowdonia. I don't live near mountains, so when I have my annual trip, hiking up a mountain is hard work, but worth it!
Such a beautiful place, thank you so much for letting me enjoy this place through you video 📸.
Thank you for coming along!
Your photos inspired me to dig out an old guide book I used to use. The Scottish Peaks by W A Poucher, beautiful black and white photos of Scottish Mountains.
you just might be my inspiration to take photos again.
That’s great to hear!
Looks like Ben More Coigach on your right at the start, stunning area, have hiked up a good few mountains in the area, glad I suggested Assynt🤣 Beautiful photo of Suilven and Stac Pollaidh.
Hi Adrian, this video was brilliant. The aerial shots of you on the windswept summit was real edge-of-the-seat stuff, a first for a landscape photography video I imagine, keep it up!
17:11 is an incredible photo wow
Not an ugly place uh?
Hi Adrian, I thoroughly enjoyed this video i like your philosophy to photography. Great four minute long exposure you took of the Mountain and lakes. I admire the time and preparation you put in when going to these great locations, and we as viewers get to enjoy your photos. Good idea you had when lying down in the Mountains taking photos, it was more safe and on the other hand it was a great angle. Thank you very much for this video. 😃
Great B&W pics. But toooo much like work! 😁😇 #wb2pics
Thank you!
Hola, tus vídeos me inspiran muchísimo, gracias por compartir, sigue así.
Thank you for taking us along. This is an excellent video with all the good and bad with this type of adventure. Having explored this same area a few years ago I can relate to the wonderment of the scenery and the tribulations of the weather. But at least no midges!
That is very true! Not a single midge the whole way up there 😁 it’s a beautiful landscape and I can’t wait to visit again. Thanks for watching!
My favourite part of the country and I loved seeing it from your perspective. A wonderful watch. Thank you 😊
Glad you liked it! It’s a beautiful landscape and I will be coming back soon, so much left to photograph.
👍👍👍
Thank you for watching!
verte ahi arriba de todo: impresionante!
Un paisaje increíble!
Went to the old man on skye in july but it was far to busy. The car park was busting. Great video 📹 loved it
Superb video Adrian. Would love you to photograph Snowdonia sometime. I think you’d find some interesting images in the old slate mine areas.
have to be careful up there -- the conditions can change really fast and often windy.
Saludos
u dont need to book all sites in Scotland, as their are sites which arent divided into pitches, and as such have nothing to book u too, also ,no regimental entry and no exit times, camp where u wish on site,,great vids
Superb photos and a gripping story. But I did not like those precarious high spots you were perched on. Made me feel dizzy sitting in my chair. Ground level for me next time I'm up in Scotland.
Thanks! Well the camera made it look worse than it really was, but yes it can get a bit scary in high winds.
Wow what a view 😊 its something esle isnt it
Hi Adrian, a lovely story - thank you so much. Beautiful. Might I kindly ask you, where this old cottage (bothy) at 2:17 is? Thank you once again and take care.
que lindos videos Adrian!!! gracias. Quería preguntarte por tu dron, cual usas?. que buenas imágenes. TE FELICITO. y agradezco por tus videos no me pierdo ninguno un saludo desde España
hi Adrian! I love your photography but I feel lost as to where you've been in scotland. Did you go to the outer Hebrides? ( Barra, Harris and Lewis ) ? 😊
Hi! I’ve been to Harris indeed, that video is coming up in a few weeks. I think I’ve been to most of Scotland right now, I have left the Glencoe and Trossachs for last.
quite a long spell between videos! Glad still OK! The emptyness and lack of anything, is a trubute to the English domination..Super images!
Hey bro.since that you're shooting b / w .
Why don't you try the Pentax k3m3, monochrome. You won't regret i have it im so happy cracking my shot. Best regards. Keep shooting.
Jesus Christ, Adrian!
Is it safe to drive a drone while driving the car?
I’m using waypoints, the drone is flying itself.
@@aows Good to hear! By the way, I learned in Norway we have bilberries, not blueberries, I just thought so, as we call them "blåbær" in Norwegian. Anyway, I filled the freezer of bilberries🙂
You're scaring me.
Nooo the camera made it look worse than it really was 😊
