Definitely should have had plastic bushings on the PVC male adapters, before installing the cables.
The grounding conductor goes on the side opposite of the bolt, when installing the ground rod clamp. It doesn't go between the rod and bolt. The bolt tightens against the ground rod, clamping the grounding conductor between the clamp and the rod.

Sometimes it is painful watching you struggle. But as an electrician, I have done this often and have found ways to make it go a little easier.
and where is your No-Ox? An electrical "grease" that will stop the oxidation or corrosion between the dissimilar metals. (copper and aluminum)

We have pole mounted transformers around here so luckily our Electric Co-Op here in Souther Va.lets us mount a meter box to their pole. We are allowed to attach our breaker box directly to that box mounted on the same pole. Everything must be a minimum of 36” off the ground. Then run our service to our inside breaker box.

I'm assuming you will install communications of some sort, while you have trenches open, toss in an extra 1" conduit and you can pull trick, catv, fiber etc, $20 in plastic now can save you $2k in headaches later.

I truly love watching your vids and how you tackle your projects and I recognize different areas have different standards , I have been a utility lineman for 35 years now and have done storm work in several provinces and states so have seen many standards and quit frankly if your entrance passes their inspection I will be so worried.....been to too many fatal house fires over the years caused by faulty wiring. Also noticed that when you dug the trenches that all the dirt piles are now blocking access to the power poles for the bucket trucks when they arrive......don't want to come across harsh but electrical needs to be left to the professionals.....John F.

Howdy Matt, here in Texas you can't have a meter base on the same box as your breaker panel. It has to be separated with either a 2" or up to a 4' splice / separator of conduit between the two and at least 4' off the ground for code. An your right it is a big headache when they don't tell you about that when your there getting stuff to wire one in and all. I've been through the same thing here. Trying not to be critical but there are several code violations that will be probably issued.
    1. Improper height
    2. Ground wire installed in rigid conduit from meter box to ground rod clamp.
    3. Many jurisdictions mandate electrical boxes cannot be mounted directly onto concrete.
Most installs when mounting to concrete utilize galvanized steel uni-strut. Due to corrosion.
    4. All connections should be lubricated with a no-oxide grease.
    5. You mention in your video utilizing 1 ground rod. Typical grounding requirements now call for 2 ground rods connected in series a minimum spacing of 8’ from rod one to rod two.
    6. Ground wire connection in meter socket should be installed at the bottom ground connector position and not the top.
Tip, using 2awg.stranded bare copper conductor must be a continuous run.
    7. Bushings are typically required on all conduit fittings.
    Good luck!
I know my local utility would not approve your install not to mention our building inspector.

OSHA Electrical Standards - OSHA Electrical Safety covers a wide range of topics and the National electrical codes does encompass the OSHA electrical standards.
OSHA requires employers to ensure electrical safety for their employees. OSHA Standard 1910.303 covers electrical installation practices that are critical to ensuring employee safety and maintaining equipment integrity.

What is the minimum height of the electrical meter?
The center of the meter should measure between a minimum of 4 feet and a maximum of 6 feet above the walking surface.
      Osha has specified that:
Meters: Only socket type meters shall be used, and the meters shall be located on the outside of the buildings served with electricity; the meter bases shall be mounted five feet six inches (5'6") to the center from the ground or walkway level.

I don't know what it is Indiana. But I believe all power companies want the meter at eye level and your main service panel will have to be at least 40 inches above ground.

As soon as I saw that clay pipe in pieces, I had a "OH S#!@ moment! Then you said it looks like it runs into the Lighthouse Castle. 😕 Ok........where does the pipe start and where does it end? And what for? Doesn't make sense to run a drainage pipe into the Lighthouse Castle! It seems there are more questions than answers with every step of this massive project!
Well, that electrical hook up was rather simple, despite the battle with the thick wire.

Very poor practice to have tension on your feeds .they contract and expand .technically being they have a disconnect in their meter base your panel should meet subpanel rules . Even here in hill billy land of West Virginia that service would never fly! Your coop is very forgiving!

Looks like there was a height requirement on the meter height. Are you digging that side of the wall down to meet that, or does it allow you to mount it that low? I recently put in a meter and it needed to be between 4-6 feet to the center of the meter.

That no. 4 solid copper should go into the 200 amp panel on the neutral bar. That is your first means of disconnect, any panel after that will be a sub panel
NOTE Make sure the panel green bonding screw is in place
NOTE: that lug you connected the no. 4 solid copper to is where the power company going to connect there NEUTRAL to.
The last 2/0 wire you installed needs to be identified with white tape at both meter base and panel because that wire is your neutral conductor. This may or may not with the inspector.
On the two 2 inch PVC male adapter should have bushings. This may or may not with the inspector
The acorn clamp the no. 4 wire should 90 degrees from the bolt as you have it behind the bolt. This may or may not with the inspector.
Question dose your power supply the conduit from the meter base to the pole. If power co. dose not and your required to supply conduit make sure you install the correct size 2 or 3 inch

Reading some of the comments, concerning your electrical skills. Not sure what electrical code is used in Illinois . But the majority of the states use the NEC. I really question some of your work. Especially the meter box and panel disconnect. My opinion, is that you should have had a licensed electrician advise you or did the job

first I don't thing your boxes are high enough.here it needs to be 4 ft off the ground.you need to put dielectric trim grease on the wires.we need two ground rods at least 6 ft apart.the ground wire ,we will use stranded wire.

And just so you know those MBR and meter base Lugs are supposed to be torqued with a torque wrench . Looks good Other than the height that low setting would never fly around here we have min. Height requirements . You gain a little respect for elec-chickens when you have to wrangle 3/0 wire lol

Don’t know what the Code is there but in Connecticut the Neutral is one piece through the Meter Box to the Main Panel.
