Good video!! I went to Salton Sea back in 87' in my senior year and did some fishing with a few friends of mine and it was nice. The solitude in that area is just incredible. Thanks for the video!
The turn @ 1:31. Notice the empty lot there across from the border check point. There use to be a small bait store/gas station/pub/RV park called The Corner. I worked there on my summers and spring breaks. Loved riding my bike down to the marina to fish and swim.
I started going to Salton Sea in the 70s just before the decline. Sad what it has become. Could have been a great place if the state had allowed gaming casinos there, and used the revenue to clean up the sea and the agricultural runoff. Could have been Lake Tahoe of the south. Not a good place now.

Nostalgic..back in the 80's my father and me would camp out there and fish come back home with a couple coolers of tilapia...cool place to explore
