Joey between 190 to 210 days old. She needs to be fed EVERY 4 hours around the clock - 6 feeds in 24 hours NO break during our nights. Thank for stopping. You did a very good job. It would have been better if once you rescued her that you let be alone (NOT touching all. We small of PREDATORS and every time you touched her she would have FREAKED out. Being very stressed the need time to just sleep & de-stress. Keep her wrapped tight was very good. Did you get up dates & photos as she grew & then was released back into the wild? Well done. xxx.

Well umm no...not when fgdh suddenly bound out in front of your car!! That's a ridiculous question...do you really think all those people intentionally hit them?
I'm sure, it's the same as when deers jump out in front of cars on the road.🤷🏼♀️👀 I really hope some ppl don't hit them on purpose.🙏🏻 But we do live in a cruel world, u never know with some ppl.🤦🏼♀️
Well done! But a word of advice for other would-be kangaroo rescuers - the bag into which you place the joey should, if at all possible, first be placed (turned inside out) into the mother's pouch for a few minutes, so that it can soak in the smell (yes, and all the gunky stuff from inside the pouch) of the mother. Watching the video, I was under the impression that the joey was actually quite stressed out in the surrogate pouch, and was trying to get out - presumably, this was because it couldn't smell her mother any more.
@@CAP236 Yes, but when I watch these kinds of videos. I watch them to learn about whatever I'm watching. I don't watch it for the gory part of death like Alot of ppl do. I like to hear the ppl talking to be told something, that I didn't know before. Not to hear the off beat techno music.🙄😪 I Bet u would Kno all about the mute button tho.....does everyone try to use the imaginary remote on u...all the time, or just most of the time?🤔🤔🤔 Oh no?!? I know they just avoid u all together, right?😏 I get it!!!
The video is sweet and is wonderful to see how they rescued that adorable joey, but PLEASE get RID of that music. It does nothing to add to the video's effects. Cut the music and you'll have a great video that's enjoyable to watch.
@@alfiyaa8214 How do you know how long it took? NO milk is better than WRONG milk ever for many hours. Joey that are very dehydrated need to be given IV Drip solution sub-cut by an VERY experienced carer ONLY. Macropods are Lactose intolerant and cows milk kills them. One of many many FACTS that the majority of Aussie have NO IDEA about.
The scrolling and the music are awful for people with disabilities :/ thank you for showing us how! Maybe simple print - no scroll and simple raw footage?
FIRST THING ~ Put the baby next to your belly & have warm items in front to generate heat. I am a wildlife care giver in Australia & live with these guys on a regular basis. Think about it they live 24/7/365 pressed next to a constant HEATER "mum" they do not, cannot generate their own body heat at this young age they depend on it from mama or the resucer to provide it for them, SO when you pick a Joey up a bare pinky or furred one please drop it down your shirt next to your belly & watch it calm down immediately, it will feel your heart beat, feel your intention of help & love, tell it you are sorry its had an accident & that you are going to take care of it because its mama can't. I am looking at two now rather large Easter Grey Joeys a male Ricky about 15 months & Rita going on 20 months now lying on our bed for a morning nap in the sun. They both still take bottles of Wombaroo the best formula for these little ones, second choice low lactose lamb/goat starte in a pinch, they don't seem to like pasturized goat's milk from the market. Look up the nearest town's wild life care giver there are usually a few & you can drop it off there for care, if it is injured go to the local vet as they are prepared to take care of them. Please stop when you see road kill, my friend had a JOey brought to her that was in the dead mum's pouch for nearly a week, it had to be washed 3 times to get the smell of her dead body off it, they go into starvation mode & forget they need to eat & its quite the job sometiems to get them going again. The easiest way to get them out is to GENTLEY but firmly take their little ankles/feet between your fingers & slowly & smoothly deliver them out to the world & into your shirt. They hiss & kick & fight because they think you are a preditor wanting to kill & eat them but they don't bite so don't worry about getting bitten its just the best show they can put on in hopes of preserving their little life. So go for it. I've heard sometimes you have to cut them out. Before I knew what I was doing once I couldn't get the Joey out had no sharp objects so just picked up the entire stinking mum put her in a towel & off we went to the vet. Sadly that one had a broken leg & had to be euthinised but the majority are alright & can recover to be happy healthy kangaroo, wallaby, wallaroo. : )
I agree. I wish they'd stop getting it in and out of the blanket to pat. Shouldve been straight onto skin for warmth and left until it was needed for vets to check or feed.
I have to say, I love the word "wallaroo". When you first hear it, you of course joke - "what, is a wallaroo like a cross between a wallaby and a kangaroo, or something"? :) And of course, while it's not a cross, it actually is a range of species that do sit halfway between wallaby and kangaroo size-wise - so the name makes sense :). Of course, this seems to be accidental, because wallaroo is not a mashing-together of wallaby and kangaroo - all three are proper Aboriginal words, the first two from Dharug (from around present-day Sydney), and the third from Guugu Yimithirr (from North Queensland).
That assi house mix is dangerously mix to me changing the channels. Smh Dat drop though had me clinching in my chair . That is what you call a ball less attempt to spin jungle with electricro house and meanwhile keeping your beats at 220 per minute
Did it ever cross your negative minds that Joeys do NOT drink any milk consumed by humans??? Do you honestly think they had this special milk laying around, along with a bottle and rubber animal teat for the feeing? What about you? Also take into consideration, the strength of this special formula is determined by age and its percentage of body weight; otherwise you're doing more harm than good and could very well kill the animal. These sweet people did the best they could and don't deserve judgment.
What a terrible music? Wanted to hear about what happened to the mother but turned off because of this crazy sounds. But thanks for being kind people 👏
They don't have a clue what they are doing. Surprising they did not suffocate that baby. Being good-hearted is not enough. That baby should have been taken straight to the vet, where they would have also received proper instruction. Painful to watch this.
As long as it's not a plastic bag it's fine. But it wouldve been alot better to put the joey closed to skin, like inside her jumper and stop getting it out to pat.
A baby kangaroo when born is only about an inch or two long. They are born with thier eyes closed. After the birth, the baby crawls from the vaginal area up the mother's abdomen and goes into the pouch. Once in the pouch the baby latches on to the teat inside the pouch and finishes developing in there. Goggle a video of it, very interesting process.
BOI SHE TRYING TO SAVE THIS ANIMAL AND SHE NEED TO THINK AND DO IT SLOWLY SO THE BABY WELL NOT GET A LITTLE HURT And at least she is doing a very good thing be thankful pls
By the way they're treating it, they probably have not got the correct formula as it cannot just drink any milk. But you're right, leave it to stay warm and calm, it's not a pet.
Please stop with the music. It makes it hard to hear you. But still- bless you for saving this baby.
