This is exactly the kind of content I love! Comparing gear can be tough without a big budget. Thanks for putting these two amps head-to-head. It'll definitely help viewers like me who are trying to decide which one might be the perfect fit for their sound.

Love this format. Comparing components at similar price points is good. It gives a person some insight as to what gear to pair it with.

Would love to see updated videos covering more in depth detail on all Musical Fidelity products especially the PRX line M6SPreamp and M6S500. Barely any videos on this product and I’ve heard some and they are AMAZING performance for the price point. Y’all really have an opportunity to inform the masses having such a great channel and being a dealer. Thanks

Synergy is key! The "HiFi sommelier" is an interesting concept. Recommending gear pairings like wine or beer food pairings is a super cool concept. The obvious next step is a "HiFi sommelier" certification program with auditory training requirements and a standardized assessment for certification just like competition judges for the beer, wine, spirits and food industry. Training your auditory senses and passing a certification assessment to establish credibility for your recommendations is cool concept for audio gear reviewers. Is this a business opportunity? 🤔

Best vid in a while. I too think in terms of food or cars so use both analogies 😂

I like the retro look of the NAD, but I love the tonal richness and warmth of class A.

It was interesting to hear more about these two amps, but no one is going to pair these lower cost integrateds with either the Focal Kanta 2 floorstanders or the Revel F228BE floorstanders both of which come in at $11,000 per pair. So, it would be great if you could make more realistic pairings, which will be much more useful to someone looking at either amplifier.

Hi, what amps or price points are you feeling?
I agree that these are on the lower limit of an intended budget for these speakers, but if you had heard there ability to move us emotionally and truthfully, you might be less rigid in that opinion.
While I will allow that one would not be wrong to spend 10-15 on electronics for speakers as lovely as these two are.
But there are many ways to skin a cat.

How do these amps perform with the Wharfedale Lintons?

    • @joel4231
      @joel4231 7 місяців тому +5

Perfectly well, providing the room is not enormous. In my experience, Lintons are already "rich:" so, to split hairs, I would pick the NAD as choice number one.

NAD always seems to be lean to neutral. I bought the A1, not neutral at all. It has a killer low end and way more toe-tapping. Warm side of neutral.

I bought the C298 because it has the M23's Eigentakt:
    1) it's less $
    2) it has more features like adjustable knob gain, RCA loopout for 2 subwoofers, trigger output to my 2 subwoofers
I want the clarity. I add richness via my Cardas Parsec RCA interconnect cables.
    My video ua-cam.com/video/ncwCopnHJqA/v-deo.html
I upgraded from a Parasound 2125v2 (already sounds really good).
