- Beautiful discussion between two teachers about the origin of 'Tasawuf' (mysticism). It is said, the word sufi came from sophist of Greek, some consider it coming from 'Ashab-e-Sufa', people learning directly from Prophet Muhammad. Although, the word 'Sufi' remained contradictory throughout the history. Prof. sahib explains the word 'Sufism', and its linking with Islam. To him; it is a gateway to find Allah, to search God.

ماشاءاللہ بہت خوب بہت اعلیٰ تفصیلی جواب دیا پروفیسر احمد رفیق اختر صاحب نے، لیکن جن صاحب نے سوال کیا وہ شاید دل میں ارادہ کر کے آئے تھے کہ کچھ بھی ہو ماننا نہیں 😇۔

اور ماشاللہ حضرت آپ نے جتنا ضبط کیا کمال ہے ۔۔ اللہ آپ کو اور استقامت دے ۔۔ اور نام نہاد ارسطو سے دور رکھے ۔۔۔ اپنی زبان دیکھ اور استاد جی کی زبان دیکھ فرق یہاں ھی پتہ چل جاتا ہے ۔۔ تو پروفیسر نہیں آپ کو دوبارہ سے پہلی جماعت میں داخلہ لینا چاہیے
Once a great man said " if your heart absorbs knowledge, you become polite, kind and soft, and if knowledge just hover your head, you become rude, rigid, show pride in everything."
Questions can be raised in a sensible way, but the questioning professor showed rudeness, and before getting answer to his question, he repeatedly interrupted the great professor Ahmad Rafique Akhtar. The politeness in attitude of great professor Ahmad Rafique Akhtar demonstrates his highness.

I respect Prof.Ahmed Rafeeq Akthar Saheb and those who gave really understandable comment. I say one word to those who aren't yet understand Tasawuff, tasawuff is most practical-understand than theory-understand. There are different types of feeling-segments such as nafs-feelings, heart-feelings, rooh-feelings etc., but words, phrases, sentences are mostly constructed based on nafs-feelings rather than other feeling segments, becoz nafs-feelings are related to body and body-world. If anyone really wish to acquire other feelings too, go for their master accordingly. Innamal Aamalu Binniyaat. Remember Niyat aren't able seen but can feel. Likewise all the segments said above are not able seen but can feel.
Professor Tariq sb is very Nice and Description is totally valuable, the questioning Prof rtd is headstrong deny the conditions of an Aarif BiLLAh.
