Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Every child deserves access to proper childhood schooling. Unfortunately, many are still deprived of basic education. Children are considered to be the foundation and the future of this country. While a few may have access to education, some will drop out voluntarily, while many are forced to drop out due to terrible circumstances. Poverty, non-conducive school environment, lack of interest, teachers, bullying, etc are one of the major reasons compelling school drop outs. How do we end this drop out crisis? This Children’s Day as we commemorate the birthday of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, affectionately called Chacha Nehru, who advocated for child rights, their safety, health and education. He believed that children when nurtured properly will create a better India. Let us all renew our commitment towards the welfare of each child, to ensure their safety & give them access to basic education. Let us empower and motivate them to stay in school so they can also realise their importance in nation building. Give them opportunities, inspire them and nurture their young minds, so they can soar high. Give them the chance to make mistakes and make room for improvements. Children are the leaders of tomorrow. Give them love, respect and special care. Let us remember his words “the Children of Today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country”.
Hence, this song is dedicated to all the Children on the occasion of Children’s day 2022.
