So TRQ is 1A Auto ??? I love these tutorials. This is a long ass job
I'm going to do this tomorrow. I will be watching this the whole time. Wish me luck. If i fail it's not y'all's fault lol
Excellent Demonstration.
Thank you.. Great Job. Now would be a good time to make sure the vacuum lines that go into the cab thru the firewall and to the cruise control aren't cracked or leaking, also the ground strap from firewall to block by heater hose inlet could be cleaned.
Great video, kina suprised to find that 02 -04 had metal covers and the later years went to plastic with the groove for the seal, I think that the grooved seal is a better design.
Great tutorial!? Couple of questions: why oil change after this? What to look for after removing the covers? What else to change while opening the top engine like this?
You make no wiggle room look easy 👍🏾
Absolutely brilliant… make it look so easy which it ain’t..
Helped a bunch.. Good job.. Guessed at 10 inch/pounds
So I need to change my gasket. But I don't have the air blower. What do you suggest I can use in place of it to remove debris
This is so helpful..but what about power steering fluid boiling over...is that do to Air? Will running the heater in high fix it?
Please do head gasket replacement on the same model
Hey, question: I just took off my valve cover and noticed a good amount of oil puddled in the back of the valve head, is that concerning? Or is that normal?
Hi is the same for a 07 grand Cherokee or no
Excellent.
Thanks for this video….
my coolant refuses to drain as so, it sort of just drips. What should I do?
where can i find that breather filter?
Do you drain the oil out of the engine?
Had one broken bolt ( stud) Does anyone know where to get one ? Autoparts stores and 2 different jeep dealers and no one knew. Any ideas ?
YOUR GOOD
Is there a way to do this without having to drain coolant?
I would say buy a brand new oil drain bin and drain it out into a brand new bin but that’s probably just as much as buying coolant. Chances are it would like new coolant anyways. People don’t change coolant to often
I didn’t drain anything and tilted the reservoir when removing the hoses from it . Lost maybe a half gallon tops if that from the entire system . This includes the bit that came out when removing the heater hoses from the firewall . The resevior I hooked back up when done and it was still nearly full. As I put the hose on the resevior while it was tilted so it wouldn’t leak . I see no reason to completely drain the radiator for this. Just top off when done and burp as needed. If you have old coolant it doesn’t hurt to swap it out but the coolant on the one I was working on was relatively new .
No Grove to put the gasket on the engine cover.
I had the same issue. As you probably already found out the bolts with the grommet/ bushing pushed all way in hold the gasket in place.
Do you use glue
Check it out
105ft lb of torque on these 20 yr old 10mm bolts that have been thousands of heat cycles is way too much. They'll snap.
Can i hire u to come do this?😅
23:53 about the time I would have said fu*&(^ lol Thanks for the video. Heading into the garage to perform this service on my Commander. 🙂
