its more that he's usually careful about doing it around people, and if he does he usually just plays it off as talking to himself or that he tripped or something, and alot of the times people just dont talk to him about it even if they do notice. its just Sasada cause she's just annoying.
You can watch it subbed as well. The dub is new, but the anime itself has already been running for 14 years, there are 6 seasons and 2 movies so far (though the "movies" are really just long episodes, which is part of Natsume Yuujincho's charm, in my opinion).
