Adams Car is specifically designed for analysis of vehicle dynamics and this lift mechanism is simple that can be made in Adams View. You may try this on Adams Car too.

What is the advantage of Adams to Simscape in Matlab?

Since, the MATLAB uses inbuilt functions which include particular mathematical formulation for a set of operations and Simscape app in MATLAB, making something is easier than that of ADAMS. But Simscape and ADAMS have their own limitations and advantages. If you think your work (Simulation) can be done easily in Simscape then you must go ahead. Application of software depends upon the work we want to perform.

For ADAMS, I think you may better to see the videos of www.mscsoftware.com/product/adams and www.mscsoftware.com/node/108 ADAMS is very good for Multibody Dynamics Simulation. For MATLAB (Simulink and Simscape) honestly, I did not work much.
