    Great demo!! I have been trying to figure out how to cut my weave without creating that blunt edge. This twist method looks easy and very doable for a non-professional. Thank you so much!

    My stylist does this but its looks frizzy and bulky be no players. It's just looksbody. Any suggestions to fix? Is this not good for all hair types? We were going for more of wave but not working

    Best cut I ever had was from a stylist with a razor ♥

      Same! I do like the look of different hairlocks, it makes it much more nonchalant and natural looking.

    Since my hairdresser switched to this new technique I feel like the became a bit more careful tho.
    If it possible that because of my very thick hair the results are better with the normal technique taking out a few 'hard lines' as you say?
    Because I like the look of having different hair locks, it makes it nonchalant and natural looking. Otherwise my hair is just 1 package.

      Everyone's hair is different and some results require different techniques to achieve the end result you are looking for. Some curly hair will not react well to using the razor and a scissor is a preferred method. Make sure the blade is new for best results on thick hair.

    I'm curious, how would it look if I used this twist and cut technique all over my head having long and straight hair with little layers? Would it affect the length? What would the overall impression of the haircut be (layered / not layered but full volume...)? Does the razor damage the hair ends, making them more prone to splitting?

      My question too. Lol. I'm about to try it out on a few strands and i will lyk❤🙏

      The simplest answer is this. While performing the twist and cut, the end should be held in the fingers so as not to cut length. This technique is to remove internal weight. On straight hair you will be removing internal weight so it will have texture like layers but no defined lines. The razor will not damage the ends if Blade Glide is used. www.jatai.net/blade-glide-plus-8-oz

    That twist technique you are doing.. Can i do that for my entire head?.. I know that sounds dumb probably..but i am new to this. And would rather practice on wig dummies and myself before others. Make up I'm set with.

    • @JataiFeather
      @JataiFeather  5 років тому +2

      Yes, you can do this for the entire head.

    So with that type of razor the hair should be cut dry?

    • @JataiFeather
      @JataiFeather  6 років тому +2

      For the most part all razors should be used on wet hair. In this video the hair is not wet simply because a mannequin head is being used. You will notice Jon says to use Blade Glide (haircutting lotion) when cutting hair on a real client.

    I wouldn't let him cut my hair...
    And the audio sounds angry.

      He is an excellent hairdresser. Unfortunately, there were some audio issues, but we can assure you he was not angry.
