Hi, Rich, I am taking ARE architect licensing exam. I thought your teaching is fantastic. I wonder if you could give us a video regarding how to read steel structure drawings?
Hey Rich. Great example and I appreciate you going through the additional Av-min checks. Can you plan to offer more concrete questions, ie. 2-way slab, corbel, torsion in concrete, or whatever you can think of. Tnx
Hey Rich; Do you have recommendations how to solve this using the CBT exam provided references? Appears ACI 318 isn't provided, luckily the reinforced concrete equations appear also lacking.
I did some more research and ACI 360 & 330 are considered non structural. I would be curious what you take is on the meaning of non structural. Anyway the slab on grade is designed without rebar using a chart PCA method
Hey Rich! Great vid and love it as always but just a heads up, you had your less than sign when it was supposed to be greater than for Av min checks so you actually needed shear reinforcement since 3.7/2 is 1.85 like you had but this is NOT greater than Vu so technically you would need shear reinforcement assuming that your d of 7.5" was correct. Let me know if I'm wrong after a relook but hope this helps. Love your vids and can't get enough of em my man you make it look easy as pie 🥧
For some reason, you are more helpful than the school of PE
Foley you just made my day 💪
It is because he has personality and makes it fun. The PE prep teachers aren't necessarily the peppiest people around haha.

I will push concrete design higher up on my list! torsional design could be a fun one to knock out. thanks for being part of the team Eric!

Love your channel thanks for the examples

I agree that the ACI is laid out terribly haha
some day.... it will get better
I’m interested in slab on ground. I see 318-19 talks about it but how does it compare to aci 360?
typically ive heard it be called slab on grade, but yes we can do an example! Im not the most familiar with aci 360 so ill need to jump in!

Of course we're all a team here! Great vids and thanks as always! Taking the PE here in a few weeks so hopefully I can get that W!
Which book do you suggest for preparation to exam ?
do we get reinforced concrete design questions in breadth portion of the
pe civil exam?
i believe you could get a few easy ones
ACI is a nightmare 😂
thx
you're welcome!
Watching this video made me happy. wanna be friends?
