I can relate to the need to declutter. I moved into a brand new classroom for the first time in my 40 years of teaching. So, you know that I had a lot to purge. It actually felt extremely freeing. 🙂
Hi! Just discovered your channel and I am a 2nd grade teacher in Indiana as well (Tippecanoe County area!) So awesome to see someone from Indiana on here doing classroom set up!
I am also a veteran teacher, and as much as I love seeing all the "baby" teachers' ideas, seeing another teacher who is in the same phase of my teaching journey really resonated with me. Thank you! I was really intrigued by the paper you send to specials to kiddos accountable for behavior. Would you mind sharing that? If it isn't digital, even showing it in your next video would be great. I'm excited to implement that this coming school year. 🎉
@@tinaflynn149 Thank you so much! I always unsure if I want to take the extra time to do it, to make the videos… But I learned so much from watching other teachers, however I’m not learning about teaching… I don’t wanna know what they do every day at home, I wanna know what they are doing in the classroom. I’m gonna try really hard to share more of that this year. Here’s a link to at least view the resource. I made it in Canva, but I’m trying to figure out how to save it so you can just click on it to edit it or to copy it… if you know, let me know! www.canva.com/design/DAEoKBzlIZU/nwn7wDMjsymQpfREO1yJ_Q/view?DAEoKBzlIZU& Let me know if that doesn’t work.
I understand the need to declutter. Starting year 24 myself. I am in the process of doing that same thing. I am keeping 1 hard copy of what i am using in 1 binder and everything else is going.
If you get a chance could you please provide the link or resource for your task cards? I'm in need of some and could really use those. Thank you. Alicia from CT
@henryprokop9170 Absolutely!! www.superteacherworksheets.com/ It is a paid feature to have access to all of them, but I think it's fairly inexpensive (I think $25/year). I love how simple they are and my math computation score did improve using them in small group. It is definitely something I will continue!
Love your idea about a specials check in. I usually do thumbs up, down or sideways. It would be helpful to know why they got a thumbs down. Do you mind sharing a pic of your form? I'm excited to see your room come together.

SO MUCH PAPER! It took me four 3-hour days to go through it all.
