Icebreaker Mackinaw Mackinaw, Michigan
Roger and Sarah travel up the eastern coast line of Michigan arriving in the village of Mackinaw City. Sarah tours a retired U. S. Coast Guard icebreaker and talks with an experienced engineer about the ships operations and past rescues. Roger uses oils on a 20×30″ canvas with a focus on a strong composition and subtle nuanced colors to paint the Icebreaker Mackinaw in port.
Really a lovely painting. I like your approach. Nice to hear about the history of this ship. Your dog is way too cute.❤️😀
Thank you!
Your videos always make me feel like I'm learning something new and interesting.
Thanks so very much.
Bonsoir Mr
Magnifique peinture , pourriez vous m’indiquer les médiums que vous utilisez pour la réalisation de ce tableau.
Merci
How do you keep your palette wet for next day?
I have a little wooden box should I put over my pants but that doesn't keep them wet overnight. I really don't worry about those paints drying out at all that's just the way it is.
How many hours do you paint in one go? Ofcourse with breaks
I used to paying for hours and hours and hours on end when I was younger and now that I'm 75 I really limited to a few hours and then I take a break. I'm quite a fast painter and do paint a lot but I do take more breaks than I used to
Do you always stand and paint?
I have an easel of course that I use for larger paintings and I always stand when using that easel. However when I do smaller paintings I have a drawing board and I always sit down for those smaller pieces.
