We use it up to the period when the placenta has fully formed. (Around 12-13 weeks) then we can stop it's administration, b'se the placenta will be able to secrete enough of it. The purpose of giving is because some women have corpus luteal insufficiency.

We do a cervical cerclage. From around 12-14 weeks of pregnancy up to around 36 weeks of gestation.
