The ending was a tragedy, not only did the entire server’s collective efforts to destroy the PGS end in failure, but the PGS itself became so lost in attacking their enemies that their home was rendered a lifeless rock. They doomed what remained of humanity to drift away in their space station for eternity. Truly, war’s only winning move is not to play

Nothing else comes close to how good this "100 players" video is. For some reasons it just hits all the right buttons. It's sufisticated, its got drama that isn't fake, It's got redemption stories, and its got a sick ending. And while there was a group with a quite a bit of an advantage they didn't just get the W. They had to struggle. Thanks for the awesome vid!
Whoa! A Minecraft Civilization video where the conflicts and progression are natural, and the admins don't meddle with stupid requirements (like base building competitions) or needlessly add complications with events? Finally. Something interesting.
@@ghoul_hollow117 BRUH, those were the first ones I've watched! And of course people are gonna jump on the idea, cause it's an interesting one, but then they keep adding these weird requirements and building competitions, pretty much forcing them to progress, instead of letting them do it naturally without any incentive. Like, just let them be their own civilisation, let them start wars on their own. I can accept Sipover's pro players version, cause that was pretty cool to see. Everyone else, they meddle too much.
Right?! I'm enthralled! At first I didn't like the text to speech voice. But the editing is so good, and the arms race evolves naturally due to the particular skills of the players. This trend is a gold mine and creators should be inspired by the way this experiment was conducted
This was ABSOLUTELY worth the 2 month wait from the last upload, you have got to be my number 1 favourite minecraft content creator, you make minecraft look like a chaotic mess and I absolutely love that
Zaktabyte and operation paintbrush were by far my favorites. Zach saw everything happen, from the space race to the death of everyone. He even attempted to save everyone at the end by hijacking the space station. Operation paintbrush was the most dedicated, as they would keep grinding even after PGS fucked with them.
You know it‘s gonna be a of-the-moon video when it‘s from igblon, more than an hour long, with way too many mods (that actually work together) and has the og powerpoint effects right on point
the thing I lvoe is that it feels so real. A lot of other videos like this feel kinda scripted but this shit is literally what I'd imagine would happen in a situation like this. I love it. The only thing that pissed me off is the PGS winning in the end.
We need more. WE NEED MORE this was AMAZING The only problem was that the PGS was basically destined to win from the start, having had plenty of preparation time and lots of experience. I'd be interested in seeing a challenge like this, but instead of 100 pros it was 100 noobs. It'd be fun seeing how they worked together and learned how to use this insane shit. Masterpiece.
he may have tried 100 noobs before because it most likely, did not work and people probably would keep leaving after a few days (shown by his lack of uploads)
@@sandpaper1711 Well I checked out his community posts, but from what it looks like there was really only one version of this event. Easily the best aspect of this story is how absolutely everything is relatable to actual history. This would work as a science or social studies experiment/project that shows how humanity as a whole always follows certain patterns throughout their history and development. I thought your other videos about this tech mods were unmatched and already to complex, but after watching the tech amplified x10, plus the rise and downfall of a society. I mean ...
“The peaceful workers who created new technology and those who would use the technology to take care of the dirty business.” All you’d need is a third side for reproduction and you basically have sapient ants.
I like how the PGS was made up of the most qualified and powerful players at the start, and the whole team just collectively decided they were too good for this planet. They isolated themselves from all other beings in a fortress above, yielding unfathomable power. They rose above with super powerful armor and weapons, and would only come down to the ground as these beings of pure strength. They used fucking space lasers to demolish the ground entities. Even after losing a large amount of valuable resources, their plan to demolish all came to. Although the PGS was supposed to be the main enemy in this story, they were still my favorite faction. Wonderfully made and edited as always, thank you IGoByLotsOfNames.
There was no clear good or bad guy in this story, idk why people are saying "omg pgs were meant to be the bad guys so they're bad" when nothing was spun that way or the other. PGS retaliated against anyone who tried to attack or invade them. Take us, the RoG for example. They could've wiped out the ROG easily by the time we got to EV, but they didn't because we didn't do any wrong by them.
@@Gregtech Oh by no means did I mean to say push down the other teams, I had a favorite but that doesn't mean no one else was working as hard as they were.

I love how this actually simulated war and life, the strategy in this video is everything you’d expect from a real war, and I love recognizing the tactics talked about in the art of war and the 48 laws of power
This was, no hyperbole, one of the best Minecraft videos I’ve ever watched. I was genuinely invested in all these groups and their plans Funny how the one group I initially rooted for ended up being the only group left in the end lol
Personally I opted out because I wasnt too familiar with nomi. The test server was nice, but this turned out incredible. Considering alarcones betrayed me and zak in the test server I'm surprised they worked together.
The only problem is most current Minecraft UA-camr have so much brain rot from only ever seeing 16x16 texture grass they could not be able to do this stuff
Its hard , PGS only managed to that because each player had like 1000 hrs on grgtch , nomifactory is hardest mod to complete and this is when they excluded stargate.
i don't think i've ever been as invested in a UA-cam video before, this was such an insane watch. Considering this was a more serious story than most of your other videos, its good that you tuned down the editing a bit because it wouldve taken attention away from the "plot", good decision. The editing and researching for this project had to be so much work that i have to ask, can you imagine doing something in this scale again in the future?
Woah. I didn't expect much at the start with the Text-To-Speech voice and hyper editing, but the moment you mentioned that this was Gregtech, and there was _no_ interference from admins, I was intrigued. This was one heck of an experience. I'd love to see more of this sort of thing, but it seems quite hard to organize and run.
This is actually the best civilization trend video I have ever seen. Nothing is controlled by the creator, everything is happening, because of various people on the server, adding an expert modpack on top of that is even more interesting and challenging. The fact that pgs survived from start to finish is proving how good they were. Igblon editing skills on top of that make the video more entertaining than other of his videos, which is truly unique.
Finally got a chance to watch this, and what a wild two weeks you've documented. I recognize a lot of people in the video. Sounds like you all had a lot of fun and trying not to spoil anything, it was entertaining to see what chaos and spy games unfolded. Hope you enjoyed playing Nomifactory and props to tracer4b for his efforts with the GTCEu port featured in this video. Great job putting this video together IGBLON, I can imagine it must have taken a lot of work.
I can't even begin to say how incredible this video is. It's a gripping story with a lot of twists and turns, and at the end of the day, it's just a damn Minecraft server. It's insane how you packed so much meticulous detail into an hour and 30 minutes of runtime. I gotta get me a Minecraft server.
This might be the best video that i've seen in my life. Not only you kept your editing style but you told us litteraly EVERYTHING that happened during those 14 days. I can compare this video to a movie with all the plot and the suspense. You must have worked a F-ing humongus tonne of time for this to happen. Please continue while taking time for yourself :)
I wished the peace agreement on pgs was much harsher. It was clear to maintain balance pgs had to lose a lot more since a majority of their members were experienced in modded mc. I would believe a partition or dismantlement of pgs would be necessary for balance to be maintained, not a redistribution of machinery. Also, wished all the other teams did more diplo to counter pgs. They had a common enemy but sorta let that enemy thrive. But at the end of the day, this video was the best thing I have seen done in minecraft. Keep releasing more content.
First of all the conditions were gonna be very harsh of it wasn't for the rigging of the negotiations. Second of all a "dismantling" would be practically impossible to enforce since its a group of 10 people, like how are you going to make them not work together?
@@thatguy6482 to answer your first question, I still don't believe the condition was harsh enough even if the church did not rig the negotiation. The pgs had some of the smartest of people on the server and as we saw in the video, after being defeated, they grew at an incredible rate thanks to revanchism and their dedication to sticking together causing pgs to be a hegemon once again in seconds. the second question of dismantling, I meant as a partition, and that's my fault for the confusion. what I meant was to take away some of their great minds and force them to work in other groups. I would agree with you, it would be hard to force pgs to dismantle or give up a single member, especially as I said previously, they were a dedicated team. although, floppy gang had full control of their base. I highly doubt pgs could've been able to force them off at their current state, and even if they did try, floppy gang could just set them back to the stone age if pgs had resisted. they had pgs in a position to force them to do anything or face the consequences. in my opinion, a removal of a few members was the only way to maintain the balance between all the factions and just like in the video what pgs did to the other faction policing them could also help to enforce my theoritical proposed for peace. yet they left pgs with a slap on risk & a small insignificant gain from the negotiation.
@@joeyscaerce4861 Forcing them into other groups kind of sounds it might end with many teams getting backstabbed in a simultaneous behind the scenes plot by the resentful former PGS members.
I wish servers like this would pop up more often, and feature yearly wipes to make sure new blood can get in when things are fresh or to see how old rivalries persist even across resets.
Zach destroying the disks with the PGS's laser gave me the same vibe as Kane from Tiberium Dawn getting blasted with the orbital strike. Incredible video! wish i had watched it sooner.
Theoceanking here, the founding of RoG is actually incorrect in the video and was shortened for time. What actually happened was I begged lloczek and gregoriusT to join them, and then a bunch of cringe remnants followed. Flyer was actually last to join ROG
i was NOT expecting to hear a remix of Black in a modded minecraft video. this was an absolutely amazing video, my favorite part was when zack was given good equipment and let loose on the world for literally no reason and immediately did something really stupid
Legendary upload. This video has so many things to take away from. The politics, the war mentality and tactics, beauracracy, social behavior of loners vs tribes, transition into the industrial era and its leverage against people who are behind, so much. Overall I think this has taken a lot of the good parts of minecraft and made it into a movie.
This reminds of the time a college studied some glitch on World of Warcraft that acted like a virus. People in the servers had coordinated disease camps and guided each other to avoid further spread. A example of our natural behavior
wdym stilm thats like one lf the greatest minecraft stories ever (100% unscripted igblon just had no life and was spectating 24/7) it turned out soo great
I can't believe I just watched the entire video, but it was worth it. This is a geniously and perfectly crafted masterpiece! I always loved the whole idea of people surviving on a server on their own, but sadly no one pushed this idea further than just a 10-minute video which included all the people killing each other in the first 10 days without really any development. But now my dream has come true! Thank you for creating this absolute banger of a movie with so many great and talented people on it. Can't wait for what you have in store for future videos!
this is by far the best "minecraft civilization" video on UA-cam. Everything was all natural and not forced, and resulted in pure chaos and entertainment. Well done
I did not understand anything about the mod/mods used in the server, but everything was narrated so perfectly that it was extremely enjoyable to watch!
please make more videos like this, it was unironically the greatest youtube video i have ever seen i was gripped every second and despite it not being scripted it had such an interesting story with such a climactic finish and a beautiful conclusion by you no scripted story could ever top this
This is easily the best video I’ve watched in last 2 years and one of the best overall. What a great example of how society acts in global scale, what struggles it faces, which strategies naturally take place and what are the outcomes. Great narrating and editing. This is truly a gem I was lucky to stumble upon.
This was AMAZING! Please make more stuff like this, even though it's difficult it's worth it to watch. I'll probably rewatch this at some point it's so good. I think experimenting with who to invite would be a cool idea, and if you're not shy the community could help brew up a plan for how to blow this up so we could invite youtubers into this, 2b2t members, and instead of just pros and noobs people who could increase this channel's viewership exponentially allowing for more diversity and experimental videos with little setback. Edit: My favourite part of this was the fact that people respawn rather than other 100 people vids. The dynamic feels like it shifts through the ages as people learn from their mistakes rather than watching them advance through a single age. Had there not been respawning none of the amazing shenanigans like Zack and Clown and slaves and all the other drama. None of it would have happened without the respawn. This it is I tell you, that's the secret spice.
This was an amazing movie, with many twists and turns, an a crazy last ditch effort, and an amazing ending. Thanks for this IGBLON! I'd also have to say my favorite group was definitely the pgs, they definitely had the best arc and most focus, and who doesn't like a tyranny? As for my favorite person, I'd have to say kubull, the 2v4 was absolutely crazy!
@@AverageUsernames I mean, it's not like we absolutely forced everyone to submit or anything. We were actually behaving pretty reasonably towards those friendly or at least neutral to us. It's only our enemies whom have felt our wrath. So as long as you don't do anything that harms the PGS, you would've been ok. It's just that unfortunately a lot of people attacked us early on in the game, so the aforementioned enemies were plentiful.
I personally liked Operation Paintbrush because it reminded me of an obscure faction I refuse to elaborate on Edit: here's a hint for whoever wants to guess: The faction's leader's title is "The Director".
The main cause of us not being able to completely destroy pgs is zak coming home, like dude. Why come home when our base is filled with pgs members??? He could stayed and destroyed stuff until they killed him. he could have destroyed wayyyyyyy more, like their entire autocrafting systems, all drives, controllers and terminals and everything. I knew zak is gonna mess up, thats why i asked him if I could go. but he just said "no shit" and also he destroyed half of our base due to "progression" and then cried to us to repair it. we didnt kick him from the team only because i was afraid that he would leak the coords. Even nemezanevem said that we should kick him. Also i wanted him to finally get satisfied by destroying some of pgs.
From helping their mum and the town, to helping save a world from destruction, to assisting the People's Gregic Society in their advance through technology. It's a wonder Niko has come so far.
It was a long wait, but the end result was way beyond my expectations. You've outdone yourself with this mega project. My cheeks hurt and I had a six pack by the end. The editing is so excruciatingly well done everything flows like butter, the music selection is full of absolute bangers that perfectly compliment each scene, and I can't even imagine how time consuming it was to collect all the details of every major and minor event. Truly Brob·ding·nag·i·an.
Aside from arming zak, I think the pgs was the best team overall here, did the best regarding resources, fought back when other teams did unprovoked raids, etc. it took nearly the whole world fighting against them, and they still won. They still have the means to recreate everything, the end of this 100 players was a pantheon of “gods” unchained from mortal bounding, any mortal limitation is nearly moot.
This documentary has brought never before seen joy and happiness to my life. Thank you for creating such a wonderful masterpiece for the public to observe and learn from.
I’m not gonna lie- you are the most sincere UA-camr on the platform, at least in the minecraft category. That sounds kinda weird because u don’t even use voice, but everyone can see that you really care about your videos and your channel. And reading this who isn’t subscribed, subscribe to igblon right now.
And the PGS station is STILL the first base that pops up when loading Nomifactory. This was fun to see, especially since I now know the origin of the awesome station on the nomifactory menu screen, the space race that lead to it, and why there's a GTNH gear in the center of it 😂
It's absolutely amazing to see how much scenarios could happen in just 14 Days of Modded MC and such massive lores n' stories were made in that span of time (Bigger than the Dream SMP lol). Even surprised how the server lived after that much catastrophe. Must've been cost a lot to open a server that could hold that much chaos. You deserve a lot of Fame 👍 And UA-cam Ad Revenue

I was honestly hoping that the catgirl nation stopped getting mentioned because they were rising up in the dark or something, unfortunately they were just vibing.
A rollercoaster of emotions, better than a lot of films made novadays, and it's the classic 1h 30 mins duration. Thank you so much! Been cheering for the PGS because they were progressing the fastest, I really hate when somebody like that gets attacked and loses all the stuff after working hard. And all the strategies here were blowing my mind lol
What I like about this video is that it differs from your usual "I sent 100 people to (blank)" This entire video is a blast to see and is quite refreshing from the usual formula, it isn't scripted and the entire thing is modded (not mocking the other creators for doing it, all of their videos were also quite entertaining as hell.) includes politics, and has swearing in it (which makes it 10x times more realistic.), plus this is 1 and a half minutes of pure chaos and subversion. This is literally real-life history, a classic HOI4 modded gameplay if you will.

And of course people are gonna jump on the idea, cause it's an interesting one, but then they keep adding these weird requirements and building competitions, pretty much forcing them to progress, instead of letting them do it naturally without any incentive.
I mean yeah they had an advantage but losing tens of hours of progress is unfun and might have just made them stop playing
@@rulerofnormies4318 Yes i agree but being policed & unable to catch up to a hegemon is almost as equally unfun.
@@joeyscaerce4861 Forcing them into other groups kind of sounds it might end with many teams getting backstabbed in a simultaneous behind the scenes plot by the resentful former PGS members.
