I agree AEW needs to get rid of the trios titles and put the focus back on the tag team titles. AEW likes to focus on one title and the other titles take a back seat.

I disagree that the Trios should be removed. Yes, the tag team division is weakened by this category, and so are the solo stars. But that should not be the focus. The intention should be to create a faction of performers who have a single strength. That's the problem with the booking. Several have already mentioned the Fabulous Freebirds. The Von Erichs were also a classic Trio. David was better than Kerry and Kevin on the mic. Kevin was athletic and Kerry was the face. Separately...weak. A Trio...amazing. Same for the Freebirds. The problem is not that Trios don't work. The problem is that creative hasn't packaged good Trios. The Acclaimed, FTR, Ass Boys...don't need a third wheel. Even jobbers could flourish with the formula of 1 Muscle + 1 Face + 1 Athlete. What if the Jericho faction had stayed Hager (muscle), Guevara (face), and Garcia (athlete)? With Jericho as manager? Solid "Trio."

The Young Bucks have had an amazing impact on tag team wrestling in that they’ve made me never want to see them on my TV in a tag match again.
