Thank you George for all your inspiration! Moving my betta in 5g from old boring fake plastic decor to a new 5g aquascape with dragon stone, anubius nana, marimo balls flattened and attached to stone. Golden pothos from my old tank is going into the filter (roots). Working on a 29 gallon behind a wall so I can picture frame it. I've become obsessed with aquascaping thanks to you.
So glad you have been converted, your Betta is going to love it as much as you! He'll thrive, like my betta has. Can't stand fake decor in the tank now.
Thank you George and all the team, I learnt a lot today and will start to develop my new tank very soon, thank you to Stephen for showing me Co2 systems afterwards. Today was worth the long drive 👍👍
Great job as usual. I do appreciate your honesty about liquid co2. I stopped using it and still enjoy my tanks, occasionally I get unwanted algae but my health is more important. I use to work in the photo industry, and the colour film is dipped into formaldehyde as a preservative. I new that smell right away and stopped using it. Great warning for our fellow Aquarists, Keep on Scaping.
George would you ever do a series on youtube where you rate users tanks along with tips for their aquascape? Would be cool to see their photos a month after taking your advice. I'm sure you have enough on your plate as it is though.
I have watched this video from start to finish. As always so much useful information! You can really see how dedicated you are to the hobby George. Thanks for all your hard work👍🏻
love all the advice about not testing water etc, as a newbie it seems important to do so but I like this idea of constant god waterchanges and not getting too worried about it all. Thanks George
Really wtf!? It’s probably time to change hobby or start a reef. On the other hand, this kept me awake until 02:30am despite I had heard many of his tips.
I love watching your video's. I wish I could of heard better some of the other conversations or when someone asked a question. Maybe you can summarize the questions for us next time begore you give them an answer😊. Beautiful scape as always.
I set my new tank up and put the moss in you are using, the tank had bloom for two days and the moss went brown. Since then I have brown algae growing across my sand. I haven't even got any fish in yet. Any tips for getting rid of the brown stuff? My water is crystal clear now, but the brown algae doesn't look great. I removed the moss.
George, I’m thinking of having tropica soil as the bottom layer and powder on top as you’ve done in this video. Does the powder eventually work it’s way to the bottom? If so, does that matter?
Hi George I am from INDIA I have seen many videos and aquascapes which was done by you they where really beautiful, even though I have a small doubt regarding the substrate, as you where using TROPICA AQUARIUM SOIL as a substrate is that enough or else we have to add any base layer before adding TROPICA AQUARIUM SOIL like many other companies will suggests some other products as a base layer.
@@GeorgeFarmerStudios Thank you so much. Your advises where very important to me and also for many other beginners keep supporting us as we do with you.
Great video George, lots of info. I do enjoy your vids. I have a few leaves with small holes and yellow around the holes. Any idea on why this happens?
Hello George can you recommend me live plants that is good for a 15L Marina tank, i have 5 small fish (mainly guppy's) found 4 babies too which are separated, i do have constant lightly cloudy water in this tank, i have done 2 1/4 water changes plus other things and any help would be much appreciated. Lastly, is the lighting adequate from my Marina 360? Thank you.
Thanks for saving this live stream. Learned some things from it, was already thinking about Tropica's 1-2 grow plants. Stops the need to quarantine the plants to reduce the risk of snails and infections to the aquarium. Sometimes I already see a lot snails into the plant stock aquarium, a reason for me to not buying there. Do you have a tip how to remove the risk of snails?
Hi all, I am looking to buy a CO2 diffuser. I notice there is tubing that attaches to the glass mechanism. Where does that tubing go? Does it attach to anything?
Very nice 🙏🏻 great watching your videos. I have been very curious after watching several of your videos why you seem to mention the prevention and fear of algae several times in each video consistently? Being a biologist for 30 years (besides some types and dead algae) see nothing but benefits of algae...
Aesthetics. It’s usually ugly compared with higher plants. A small quantity is ok. Most new hobbyists give up the hobby because of really bad algae so I like to educate on how to prevent it. 👍
Man I'm so into Sacping again since I found your channel. Had a little Pause where only one Tank survived. But now I'm planning setting up the empty ones. Do you use Powersand or something else under that Soil?
Way to go, George!! Keep up this pace and you'll soon get a red laser pointer and just point your 'planters' around the scape :-D Very instructive and inspirational! Sent you a mail to @rocketmail, about Forests UnderWater - don't think you saw it yet...
I have to say that you are ending up with more plants than water for the fish to swim in.. It might look great, but isn't it about the comfort of the fish rather than making an aesthetic sculpture? It's great for really large tanks but you are using tanks under 120 litres. Half or more of the volume is taken up with content and not fish.

Three hours well spent. Brilliant to listen and watch whilst I'm doing my own tank maintenance. Cheers George.

thank you thank you thank you!!!
In your Green Aqua store,do you have any Aquariums with Mollies?
George, I’m thinking of having tropica soil as the bottom layer and powder on top as you’ve done in this video. Does the powder eventually work it’s way to the bottom? If so, does that matter?
It shouldn’t do and it wouldn’t matter anyway 👍
Great, decision made. Thanks!
How many of those bags would. I need for a Roma. 240? 2?
George would Green Aqua ever open a store in Saint Augustine Fl,or Jacksonville?

Tropica Soil on its own is fine. Tropica Plant Substrate is a base layer that needs capping. Two different products 👍

Well done George! Thank you from Canada! How many cups of Tropica 1-2 Grow were used in the planting of this tank? Thank you.
3 hours well spent watching this today 👌 Keen to see this develop, will you do a follow up of this one once the plants have grown in?
Thanks mate. Of course 👍

George,I notice Green Aqua tanks dont have lids.Is by having Fish known for not jumping, something to keep in mind ?

Will the slope stay in place over time ? Tks just got the answer thank you !
Yes, hopefully 👍

What is the life span of ADA soil, for how long we can use it ?
Okay u have answered it 17.02 sec👍
Have you been to Minnesota, USA? If so, is there a specific store you recommend. Think I want to start small, maybe 2.5 -5 gallon range.
