I am so thankful when I got saved at a Christian retreat at 13 1/2. I was baptised within a half hour of my salvation in Lake Michigan. Now I wasn't taken to Church after that but my hunger for the WORD was so great that I read it continually. The Holy Spirit lead and taught me all TRUTH. I witnessed to my friends in high school in '72. I was laughed at and rejected, but the ones I did witness to later received Jesus as Lord and Savior so what I thought was ineffective witnessing was later to be found fruitful. I thank GOD I listened and continue to witness to this day. It is not popular that I teach against sin and be in the Lord's righteousness and not my own.
The Lord has been faithful to me when times I wasn't to him. That's Grace. Amen
I've gone through 3 Bible's and flexshot all 3. It's time for a rebinding of 1. It is hard to find the Bibles I have. England is not printing the ones I have. It's a great teaching BIBLE with index, concordance, dictionary & original old maps. Gives information on Catholicism and the books they added and books taken out & much more.
I am now 62 and widowed with 2 born again son's who love the Lord. I have 10 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. I am TRUELY blessed. I am disabled and have many medical issues but it never has stopped me from spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. Even in the hospitals to my roommates, cleaning personnel, nurses. Nurses hate it the most unless they are already born again. Then we uplift and encourage each other.
There are so many false teacher's out there and unless you know the WORD OF GOD and discern the spirits you will and can be deceived!
Joyce Myers, Joel Osteen and his wife, The Copelands, Rick Warren who knew scripture but has never been born again.
Jessie Duplantis, Creflo Dollar. I could go on & on! There are so many Apostate so called Christians. This new age religion and music is Satanic to say the least.
Please know the WORD. Memorize it, pray and meditate on the scriptures. The Lord is faithful to teach you all things and to rightly devide the WORD OF GOD.
We will never be perfect until we die and are resurrected in the fullness of Christ Jesus. Until then, be ready to give an answer to those why you believe what you do. Know the WORD.
    Psalms 119:105
They word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. 📖🕯
    Ephesians 2:8-9
For its by Grace are you Saved by Faith and that not of yourself it is a GIFT from GOD: Not of works LEST any man shall BOAST.
    2 Timothy 2:2
The things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, commit thou the same to faithful men, so that they may be able to teach others also.
John 3: 16-17-18 -19-20. Read the whole Chapter for yourself.
    Roman 3:23-24
Just decide to read the Bible daily.
I know the Spirit of GOD will teach you all things thru the Holy Spirit if you live Him and take the time to read it daily for yourself then be obedient out of Love for what Christ did for you on the Cross. Despising the shame of it but was obedient unto death so that you and I could have eternal life with Him. He was PERFECT and sinless in all things. There was no fault in Him. He took our place and our sin and our debt was paid in full by Him.
Thank you FATHER for sending your son Jesus on my behalf, and giving me the comforter to lead and guide me in a perfect walk with you. Forgive me when I fail to do the right thing or I speak without thinking of others feelings at times. Help me to listen and be an encouragement and not to ever be a hindrance to any new believer in Christ Jesus. Amen
Trust and Obey for there is no other way, to be happy in JESUS but to TRUST and Obey.
I love that song. If you sing all 5 verses with the chorus it is right on for our living in harmony with our Savior and friend.
Thank you for the last 2 videos. Many will know the truth about all false teacher's who they need to steer away from. Reject their teachings!
God Bless you in this ministry❣ May GOD by His WORD show the lambs the wolves that are out their to steel, kill and destroy their testimony. In Jesus Name, Amen

I love you Hank:) Thanks for always being frank and honest with us. When I was a new Christian in 2005 I had some "visitors" knock on my door on two different occasions and thanks to you I wasn't fooled into believing their message. The thing that amazed me the most was the fact that your radio broadcast (on JW's and Mormons) was only days before the visits...both times. God is truly amazing how He works in our lives.
PS. I also enjoyed seeing/hearing you two times when you came to talk at a church in Overland Park Kansas. (I don't recall the name of the church now)
God Bless you, my brother! Tami

Thank you Hank for the excellent answer to the callers question. I would just like to add that there are many who claim to be Christian who have never been born again and whose profession of faith is false. Just to be clear, when I make mention of being "born again" I am not referring to water baptism, but rather something the Holy Spirit does within spiritually dead people to make them become spiritually alive apart from any action from the individual.

Jmac doesn't even grasp the gospel and spews legalism and bondage.
James 1:8: A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Countless people who profess faith in Christ alone for eternal life, insist that while turning from sin and performing other works of righteousness are not required to receive eternal life, that one who has received eternal life will inevitably demonstrate a positive life change that evidences, or proves, that he has received eternal life.
This is not Biblical, but is instead based on the false Calvinist tenet of “perseverance of the saints.” It is just another strain of Lordship “salvation,” or “LS.”
LS is the unsupportable and unbiblical belief that the PERFORMANCE of good works, the PROMISE of good works, or the EVIDENCE of good works MUST accompany faith in Christ in order to establish, or provide evidence, that such faith has resulted in eternal life.
      Following are some examples:
I have never taught that some presalvation works are necessary to or part of salvation. (sic) But I do believe without apology that real salvation cannot, and will not, fail to produce works of righteousness in the life of a true believer - John MacArthur
… I would ask them if their present posture is one of submission to Christ’s Lordship and trust in his finished work. If so, they are saved, even if they don’t remember the prayer or the moment they got into that posture. Second, I would ask them to consider whether the signs of eternal life are present in them. As John explains so thoroughly in 1 John, conversion does not bring sinless perfection, but it does begin to make fundamental changes in the human heart. - J.D. Greear
Others think that LS is merely “putting the cart before the horse.” But, the Bible does not say anywhere that the cart (good works and life change) will automatically follow someone believing in Christ. To insist on a “cart,” before, after, or at all, changes the message of the gospel.
Trying to distinguish between good works being required for salvation and good works automatically resulting from salvation is not logically possible.
If good works WILL accompany eternal life, than good works MUST accompany eternal life.
The Bible is clear that we receive eternal life by grace through faith in Christ, not through any works of righteousness that we have done:
      Titus 3:5: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
The Bible is also clear that some Christians will have little, to nothing, to show for their lives as Christians.
      1 Corinthians 3:11-15:
[11] For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
      [12] Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
[13] Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
[14] If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
[15] If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Some may errantly read verse 15 to mean that people whose work is burned are barely saved. The reality is that all people who have received eternal life are saved by Christ’s righteousness, and not their own. Therefore, every Christian’s salvation is just as sure as any other’s.
Is it God’s will that we live holy lives and do good works? Absolutely!
Titus 3:8: This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Following is an excerpt from an excellent article by Jim Floyd entitled “Bible Basics: Do Good Works Prove Salvation?”:
Good works are profitable to others and well pleasing to God as they glorify Him. Good works are a good testimony and enhance our opportunity for witness. Our works do not prove salvation because salvation is not based on works. It is based on the object of our faith - Christ.
And, while good works are profitable to others, glorify God, and enhance our opportunity to witness, our witness must be the gospel itself.
Please do not get drawn into the trap of believing that one is saved by grace, without works, but that works provide evidence of salvation, or prove salvation.
This duplicitous belief undermines the gospel message and may cause lost people to mistakenly believe that eternal life is received by allowing Jesus to change their lives, instead of by believing that Jesus paid the full price for their sins.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Salvation cannot be by grace, yet require works.

    • @BigG99
      @BigG99 6 років тому +2

John Trevett have you not read James? Faith without works is dead. Works prove that a man has been saved by Grace. It is fruit of a transformed life. No it does not save you but it is evidence. I do not believe for a second that a person can be saved and not have a changed life to show it. We do indeed die to self and then in this new life, live for God. That is a clearly biblical concept and one that in 10 years of ministry experience have seen in the bible over and over. Johny Mac os a faithful preacher who bases all his work in scripture and demonstrates that.

That's not even remotely true. I suspect you haven't read it, or you wouldn't make that comment. The LDS church teachings are a different Gospel, but the Book of Mormon isn't.
In the Book of Mormon Jesus Christ is God incarnate, not the spirit brother of "Lucifer." The Book of Mormon teaches salvation through grace, not works. The Book of Mormon teaches the power of the atonement, the necessity and reality of the resurrection. So on and so forth.

On the contrary, the Book of Mormon teaches a works based salvation. Notice the two passages below. 2 Nephi teaches that one must work before grace can be applied (that’s a false gospel) and Moroni says that one must do all these things, and once one has done all of these things THEN is God’s Grace sufficient (again, false gospel).
      2 Nephi 25:23
For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.
      Moroni 10:32
Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.
The Bible is very clear on this matter.
      Romans 4:4-5
[4] Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. [5] And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
      Romans 11:6
And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. But if it is by works, then is it no longer by grace; otherwise work would no longer be work.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one should boast.
      Titus 3:4-6
But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of rebirth and the renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Even the Roman Catholic Church has denied the Gospel, documented and never recanted in the Council of Trent:
CANON 9: "If any one saith, that by faith alone the impious is justified; in such wise as to mean, that nothing else is required to co-operate in order to the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any way necessary, that he be prepared and disposed by the movement of his own will; let him be anathema."
The LDS church, the Catholic Church, Islam and many other religions are playing with fire and are deceiving their people into condemnation and judgment.

Within the first 5 minutes of ever hearing Osteen, I knew he was just another feel good prosperity teacher. He’ll never teach on sin, Hell, or any of the other many rebukes in the Bible that challenge us to change and grow in the faith. He’ll let you walk in and out of his church with your sin, feeling fine about it and a false belief about the person and teachings of a Jesus Christ. That might make more people feel good for the moment but it doesn’t do any good for anyone.

I'm not a Jehovah's Witness but I know their beliefs, and they believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Period! This guy just flat out lied and now I know for a fact that he's full of sh__. Completely full of sh__! He's counting on people not knowing certain facts and believing that they can count on him to give them the truth. After hearing that blatant lie, he's shown me that he's a deceiver. He may not be as disgusting a liar as Olsteen, but he's disgusting.
Pick up the Bible and read it yourself and don't rely on anyone else to tell you the truth. Too many people put their trust in others to give them Biblical knowledge. Just read it yourself and let God inspire you. Why rely on someone else to teach you something when you can go directly to the source yourself?

Joel Osteen does not preach the gospel of Christ. He teaches the gospel of Tony Robbins, the secular, materialistic self-help guru who uses the occult in sublime forms such as channeling spirit guides (akin to séances). Robbins has taught Joel that he can create wealth by thinking it into being. Well, if you're a pastor of a blind flock of sheep at a cavernous arena like Lakewood 'church' or Lakewood Arena, sure you will get rich, especially if it is income tax free. Joel is making over fifty million dollars per year and never pays a cent in income tax while fast food workers at Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, Wendy's, McDonalds, etc., all make minimum wage and are forced to pay income tax on their hard earned dollars. BTW, the position of pastor was not thrust upon Joel. When his father, John, took ill, Joel had a chance to examine the church's finances and record books and when he realized just how big a salary his dad was making, and other Osteen family members, Joel just could not resist the opportunity to become a billionaire virtually over night at a church he neither started nor built up. He is a seminary school dropout. The Osteen family actually owns Lakewood Arena/church, so they are a self-appointed clergy unto themselves and do not have to answer to anyone for the apostate, heretical teaching that 'Pastor' Joel gets away with in his 'sermons', if you will excuse the abuse of the expression. Billy Graham, he ain't! This is part of the falling away, the apostle Paul warned us about, which would occur in the last days, congregations with itching ears following after soothsayers and gainsayers like the scripturally deficient Joel Osteen. The idea that those Texans down yonder (and TV viewers across many continents via satellite TV and book readers of Joel's false ideology) can falsely imagine they are getting anything out of Osteen's shallow words is beyond belief. It is Satan who is Joel's master, not the Lord Jesus Christ.

One of the worst sermons ever is Joel Osteen teaching on the great “I Am” from John ch 8. Basically told the audience to use this as an affirmation, like “I am prosperous” or “I am gifted” or “ I will get that job.” The real Jesus was missing from the entire sermon. Might as well have been Tony Robbins on stage speaking.

"So many ways to interpret the word of God"? Very well, my questions to you are 1) What hermenuetic and exegesis methods do you use? Are they subject dependent or you apply it in general to every subject in the Bible? Example, how do you apply your to say Daniel 9:24-27 relation to Mathew 25:15? 2)How do you see the variations, if any, if either Hebrew or Aramaic is used in the Daniel passage? Please be specific I am sure you will have no problem since you come across so sure of yourself.

I firmly believe in The Principle of Church and State. Politics and The Pulpit don't mix. An officer or politician is hired (elected) to do a job for their constituents based on the legal requirements of that function and agreements (campaign promises) that were stated.
That is their job description. Do it. Do it well, and you may be extended an opportunity to continue.
When I hired persons, I hired them to perform certain tasks in a satisfactory manner for an agreed upon salary/benefit package. Legal activities doe on their own time is none of my business.

I am thinking that maybe Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, and the like really start out with good intentions, but along the way Satan creeps in. Don't forget that the Word says that in the end days, even the very elect will be decieved. Perhaps this has happened to many well meaning pastors. I hate to think that Joel and Joyce are deliberate decievers.

All of us are Pharisees in some ways...and dogma and tradition get in the way of opening our hearts to the living Lord and Spirit. Let's stop pointing fingers and get the spirit with us...sorry Hank, but it's hard for me to buy your preaching when your heart is closed. I'm a subscriber because truth is what I seek, yet so many leaders and teachers of the Christian faith point to others faults first. Brothers and sisters, we all need to come together in unity for Christ because the infighting opens the door further for satan.

No I'm sorry but that just messes up the whole typology of the day of atonement when you say it was finished at the cross. If you look at the old covenant day of atonement, the people did not know that the sacrifice was accepted by god until the high priest came back out of the most holy place. Thus the atonement process was not complete until Christ returned (Hebrews 9:23-28)

"The Emperor Cyrus was the first to give command;that was 457 BC. That date brings us exactly to the time of the crucifixion; that is if we reckon in our calender years by the sun. But the command was neglected owing to opposition, so a new command was given in 444 BC to Nehemiah but using the same numbers. Now, the Middle East reckons time in (continued)

So grateful to God for the ministry started by Doctor Walter Martin to stand up to man's cultish views and uncover the truth Thank you Lord for Hank's continued work to stay on the narrow road to keep the light on the word and most importantly the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Tetelestai it is finished by the only One who could finish the work. The God who sacrificed His only begotten Son. We all should know better than to be listening to the world no matter who hard it tries to give an account. Will be ruled and reigned by the liar until the Light comes back.

This is what I get from Joel. He encourages Us to have the Faith of a mustard seed and let God take care of the rest. Joel didn't really want to be a minister, He feared that He wouldn't be able to do the job, but the job was thrust upon Him by the Church after the death of His Father. His love of God and Jesus Christ is unquestionable and that is good enough for Me. Does He stumble with scripture ?, Yes, but I challenge You to name even one minister that doesn't. I find His talks to be uplifting and encouraging, He helps me to be a better person. I do take His use of scripture with a grain of salt, just like I do with all mortals. Peace to you always.

If one knows the word of God and finds God in the Word...then you will be able to decern the spirit of that man easily.... that man is the man God desires or sets of fire. After all this is His Kingdom we serve (follow)...not as the world follows. Material and spiritual is like oil and water.

    Jesus said "It is finished"
Theologians interpret that to mean "the debt has been paid"... Let's get honest my friend. You stated it as if Jesus said the 2nd part but he did not. Jesus completed the messianic prophecies even on the cross that had to be fulfilled, and in light of his explanation of this at the Resurrection in Luke 24 on the road to Emmaeus, it is quite possible, that is what he meant by it is finished. Moreover, the greek τετέλεται in that John 19:30 passage is from the verb τελέω meaning to bring to an mature end (perfected). This is related to the adjective τελειος often translated as maturity. We see Hebrews 5:9 say that using a related verb τελειόω saying Jesus became mature, perfected through suffering.

right on. 457 bc was the command that started the 490 year prophecy spoken of in Daniel. 2 other commands were given but king Artexerxes was the only one who actually carried it out to the full and completed the rebuilding of the temple. Funded it too! Ezra 7. Jesus comes in the exact 70th week to be anointed by baptism in the middle of the week he was cut off not for himself but for us. towards the closing of the week Stephen was stoned and that started the preaching of gospel to gentiles.

That is debatable. They claim to be Christians, they use the bible, but some of their literature does not coincide with with fundamentalist doctrine. There are some Christians who do not believe that Jesus was part of the Godhead. So who is correct? Joel did not preach this, he answered a question. It was a judgment call on his part. It does not rise to the level of a lie or falsehood. If that is just for 'starters', please detail some of the others.

The scriptures Joel Osteen says come right from the bible, and he will describe the scripture in a diffrent way for people who dont quite understand what that means bc not everyone is gonna know what every scripture means, 2. Every one makes mistakes everyday, everyone sins all the time so for you to talk about it like you dont do bad things all the time is really pointless, he's not false bc his things comefrom the bible

But aside from those demons, you are inviting the spiritual world into the physical. If you were fully aware there r demons trying at this moment to get into our physical world, perhaps you would think twice. I would be wary to claim it in whomevers name. Ask God, don't claim it. why can't you compare the Bible to koran or buddhism or hinduism....you're discouraging christians faith...let God alone judge his people....if want to know a person, you check the fruit of the Spirit in them.
