Nice! Can you explain why it needs to be grouped in the Appearance panel?
Haha afraid not 😂 Figuring out this odd workaround was actually a team effort on a stream a couple of weeks ago, and a chap called Mark discovered the solution!
✅
which version of Illy are you using? Not working in 27.8.1 - just remains as white text
Hey there! Double-check the text and rectangle are created together as one object, and that you have also grouped them together. The "grouping" step seems kinda pointless as they're just one object, but it is the workaround that makes this technique work... for some reason anyway 😅
@@ForeverDansky there must be some kind of wizardry at play here - tried this every which way but still cant get it to work! Followed your steps to the letter but just can't get the Subtract to do anything. Thanks anyway - hope it works for someone!
I also couldn't get it to work@@AmberViking
@@darrengad6493 Nah - I think there's more to this than they're letting on!
Found another way much easier. Using ALT + Exclude in Pathfinder way easy. @@AmberViking
Now tell us how to do that awesome text, or maybe it can be explained simply in the comments?
did i tell u there is another way?
