Thanks! Been collecting for almost 3 years, you definitely need patience and perserverance to collect 12v. I'll do a video at some point about how I maintain my collection!
I was just at the LEGO house in Billund, Denmark and they had several of the 12V trains on display all in perfect condition. The old dark gray even looked good (the rail sleepers).
Do you have pictures? I'd love to see them :D

What a nice collection of 12 volt trains!
I also happen to have a bunch including 7740, 7760, 7815, 7819 and my oldest 747.

Eventually, but I want to collect the 12v sets first! If I find a good deal I will certainly get them though.
