Legit, I haven't thought about this movie in awhile and honestly a great movie. Second hand embarrassment through the roof. Feel bad when he finds out his folks are dicks. He carried around a chunk of sh*t in a wagon, it's classic.

It’s because you can tell he’s having fun with the role. Some of his other movies he’s also good in but it doesn’t feel like he enjoys playing the character take Tommy Boy for example he’s great in that too but it feels like he’s just playing a role to get paid. You can tell he actually enjoys playing Joe Dirt and it shows through in his performance, that’s why I love this movie. You can tell that most of the people involved are having fun and I appreciate that because it makes for a more enjoyable movie.
My favorite part of this movie, and this first beginning clip is when the younger Joe Dirt made the cows fart. That part is always so funny, and it's never the opposite of that!
You're a legend dude lol man this movie was so good watching brings back so many memories. Watching as a young kid not fully understanding all the context and fast forwarding to an adult and really understanding what it's all about how this dude doesn't care at all what people think of him but still has a righteous heart and is genuine hits deep dude
This movies always one of my top favorite modern day comedies to me! Even later in this beginning part with the little Joe Dirt. Even when again when he made the cows fart a lot with the bottle rockets.
I just now realized that Kelly actually spoils the plot twist for the entire movie that Joe dirts parents just left him. Never would have noticed that until seeing it many times.
This part again was my favorite from this movie that I really loved and thought was very funny. Such as this part when David Spade explained on the radio why he was adopted. Even the cow farts from the bottle rockets when he was a kid made them pass gas a lot was priceless!
First off, happy birthday to David Spade! And 2, this movie and scene will always be one of my favorites! Even the part in this video when Joe Dirt in the story when he was a kid made the cows fart a lot with the bottle rockets that he found very funny!
This part the 1st clip of the many clips of this complete movie on UA-cam was the best one. Even near the end of it, not to spoil it, when the younger Joe Dirt played by the retired actor Erik Per Sullivan made the cows fart with the bottle rockets. Even the first one was the funniest!
I saw this when I was like 10 or somewhere around there and All I could remember was the the part where hes trying to steel a hubcap and he finds the dog with his balls frozen to the poarch then he uses the spatualla.. hahahaha... and the part where the old man losses his leg to the train tracks after he gets his foot stuck.
This was such a funny movie that I really loved. And my fave part of this clip was when Joe Dirt was kid, and the cows farted a lot because he made them. It never gets old and its always very pricless!
Not just when I watched this 1st clip of this hilarious movie and on David Spades birthday a little more than 3 months ago, it was as great as "Tommy Boy" which I watched recently after that and it was 6 years later from 1995 to 2001. My favorite part of this clip is always at near the end when the little Joe Dirt played by retired Erik Per Sullivan from other things like "Malcolm In The Middle". One of my favorite TV shows made the cows fart from the bottle rockets.
This movie like this first part of the movie is great! And the first part here's my favorite. It's because it starts well. Even the part when Joe Dirt told the story of when he was a child and he made the cows fart with the bottle rockets is the best part!
1 of the best american feel good family classics it will likely be banned like the good DR i love me some Joe Dirt warms my heart and makes me proud to be an american
The grand canyon? Should have picked their filming locations a little better, that's pretty clearly Dead Horse Point outside Moab, nowhere near the Grand Canyon haha
I wonder if they made it that way because of how they can park all over the lot whereas at Grand Canyon they stopped traffic for shuttles only. So to make it appear like Grand Canyon back in the 70's, they filmed at Dead Horse. I dunno. Guess there had to be a reason.
ya know everyone makes fun of this movie, (and it's sequel) but if you really think about it's a sad story.. kids parents basically dumb him, spend his whole life looking for them with no luck, while meeting "interesting" people along the way. meets a girl one night by luck & they instantly fall in love. when he finally finds his parents he sees they are absolute jerks. nearly commits suicide & comes back to that town to live with "his girl"
