Important points:
1. You need an Alexa device like Echo Dot for this project.
2. Relay is connected with GPIO-0 of ESP01.
3. You can't monitor the feedback as switch is not connected with ESP01.
4. While adding device on Alexa app, the ESP01, Echo Dot & smartphone must be connected with the same Wi-Fi. Once added, only the Echo Dot and ESP01 should connect with same the Wi-Fi.
5. Connect the GPIO-0 with GND before programming ESP-01.
**Please take proper safety precautions while working with high voltages.
For this project, you don't have use any custom design PCB
During the internet of things tutorial video, I have explained how to program ESP01 using FTDI232 USB to TTL serial converter and Arduino UNO. Also explained the circuit diagram and how to configure Tasmota for ESP8266 ESP01. If the ESP01 is connected with WiFi then you can control the relay from anywhere in the world from Amazon Alexa app, otherwise you can use manual switch to control the appliances.

I'm from Brazil, congratulations friend, after days you were the only one who explained correctly how to configure the Esp8266, it worked perfectly following your steps
Hi,
As per your circuit diagram you have connected switch is in parallel in relay it means if your switch is ON and you want to OFF the device using relay then you can not do it. Your switch must be OFF if you want to use the ON/OFF both operation by Relay.
Thank you brother for providing a lot of info I have learnt a lot with your videos
You Sir. are a real hero! Thanks for the Tutorial!
Greetings from Austria
Hi, thanks for nice video. Can I connect to esp01 which is on home wifi from my smartphone which is on other network maybe in some other region?
can i use it like smart bluetooth lamp?
i only need the schedule feature that didnt disturbed after power outage and can maintain status of the light before power outage (if its not scheduled to turn on it will stay off after power outage). something like that.
please sorry
one question
did you have to install a skin on alexa?
I do the same as you, but simply Alexa does not see the device, but from the web panel the device works normally
turns the light on and off
but alexa does not see the device
I would like to ask you for help or someone else who knows to tell me where the problem is
Can you help me with my esp8266 I have already the code but it encounter problem in connection. Please help me.
I dont have inbuild relay-esp01 module as used by you. I am using esp01 and relay driver circut separately. Please explain the connection between relay, transmitter base and gpio0 of esp01
Can I use esp8266 nodemcu module to this project?
Nice bro...tq
In Tasmotizer, when I click 'Tasmotize' , I get error pop up 'could not open port '\\\\.\\COM11': PermissionError(13, 'Access is denied.', None, 5)'. I have followed the exact connection as shown in video using a FTDI232
can I use separet relay for other room , if then how ?
I want to connect rtc module to it is it possible if yes which pins to use for sda and scl
Hi, awesome video, but i have a question.
If the manual switch is ON or OFF, alexa dont have the real state of the light.
How u solved it?
Very nice, can you make the relay come on at sunset automatically? Joined your channel
Sir, I m facing one problem - when i give voice command to alexa to turn on light , it is turning light off and vice versa , same with tasmota . Pl help
Can we add upto 8 or more relay through tasmota? also i will use esp8266 or 32 if is possible...
Possible with ESP32
That is excellent. I got success in building my own circuit and it worked. Now I want you to please help me to add IR REMOTE function to control relay in this same same circuit. Thanks
is this UL certified? have you attempted certifying something similar t o this?
Please make this project with 2 way switch .... Thanks a lot 😊
Ok
It can control anywhere in the world?
How to solve emi problems created by relay
In this connection if we use toggle switch to on then we can't turn it off through reply
so how to solve it
In that case you can use different esp01 relay module with button.
Guess I am the first viewer
Thanks
Please make video on tasmota esp8266 with ir remote control integration
Fantastic
ok
pls share the App name
Does it works with Google Assistant?
no
Please reply i need a code for my project please sir please help me🥺🥺🥺
Can we use this without alexa echo
No
Not getting IP.please help me
Hi bro
Where are you from????
esp 32 se bhi program kr sakte hy kya
Yes. Already made video on ESP32 and tasmota
Please make a code for me to control 8 channel relay using esp32 control using ir remote, manual switch, and blynk app And please add auto connect wifi please
Can i use 4 relay
Pls use NodeMCU for 4 relay
Is this replay can support AC?
AC supply or air conditioner
@@TechStudyCell i mean air conditioner. I want to make a diy home automation system from your videos but I'm not sure if these relays can support heavy appliances
@@vaibhavpatel7417for higher load you will use 5v30amp relay module
Cost of hi-link is the problem for making cheaper switch boards
You can use any 5V supply or old mobile charger
IP address changes if the router is power cycled. Pl solve.
Have you connected it to echo dot
Create home automation project again and again with esp32 and 8 channel bluetooth and wifi control
Please integrate ir remote control to tasmota
Ok
it does bot work on 5v supply. 5v supply will burn the ESP01. it needs 3.3v also relay module run on 5v. u need two power supply. it needed alexa too. add its cost too. cost will come around 4000rs
There is a inbuilt voltage regulator on the relay module. Apart from Amazon if you buy it from other online store the relay module will cost Rs.90/
Want to use with Google home can i, if not, please give us information how to use with Google home
Only Alexa can be connected through echo dot
I can’t found my device at Alexa
I like the video but Please don't use fake thumbnails......5v power supply and switch button cost is not included....Total Cost for this project is more than 550 rupees.
