One of the most exciting activities we did was the snow scooter safari. It was a thrilling ride through the snowy wilderness, and we loved every minute of it. The views of the snow-covered trees and frozen lakes were simply breathtaking.
We also visited a local reindeer farm, where we had the opportunity to feed the gentle animals and learn about their history and culture. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we'll never forget.
And then, the moment we had been waiting for... we finally saw the Northern Lights! The colors and patterns dancing in the sky were absolutely mesmerizing. We were grateful to have witnessed such a magical natural phenomenon.
Of course, skiing was a must-do activity in Ruka. With over 200 km of slopes and top-of-the-line equipment rentals, we had a blast skiing down the mountain. And after a long day of skiing, relaxing in a traditional Finnish sauna was the perfect way to unwind and recharge.
And let's not forget about the breathtaking Finnish nature! From the Oulanka National Park to the outstanding beauty of Valtavaara Winter Trail. If you love hiking in a winter wonderland this is the place for you!
