- Where would we be without our cars? The invention of the automobile made the world a little smaller, allowing us to make journeys that used to take hours in the space of a few short minutes. Years of evolution in car mechanics have led to most vehicles looking the same - but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for innovation or eccentricity. Join us as we take a look at some of the most unique and remarkable one-off cars in history!
almost no one watching this will truly appreciate the fact that the bodies on most of these cars were hand crafted. every curve and bend. absolute skill
Love all the Art-Deco designs in this post . Art-Deco ROCKS
Car-thedral . What a Creation .
The Texaco Tanker could make the COOLEST RV on the Planet . Truly Gorgeous .
When I was a kid I had a toy Texaco truck like the Diamond truck. I thought it was a firetruck. My older brother was there to crush my dreams. That's what big bros are for..lol
No you didn't.
No you didn’t.
My pop worked for Texaco as a district sales rep helping to open stations & keep them going. They had lots of toys, model stations, pins that he'd bring home me & my bro. I still have some of the items. They also use to give cigarette lighters away as awards & promos.Light em up boys while you gas up .Nick born 1952
The one in the picture was a toy truck you can tell because the windows didn't even go up to the doors and we're just kind of inside and not even touching
That electro-dumper idea is genius!
Those Road Zipper clips are so satisfying
The Komatsu has a diesel generator to power the electric motors on the wheels. Its basically a diesel-electric locomotive in dump truck form. They've had these around for at least 40 years.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Very common...and far from the biggest one.
4:20 OH YEAAH BAABAY!
0:00 / 15:13
The story's headline is "12 Most Rare And Exclusive Cars" and the lead picture is a fuel truck.
Well you've got fuel the other 11!
and its a die cast model
Just watched this video today, saw The Cathedral Car.....and realized...I MISSED THE HOUSTON ART CAR PARADE!!!!!! It was last weekend.
"14 feet wide, with a width of 30 feet" I think you need to try that again
Sounds like a regular day in my shop lol
Standing 14 feet tall and 14 feet wide with a width of 30 feet...
Every car travels in time and space, as long as it runs and drives...
Nice video!
What's the song passed through the intro and video, as in 00:29, please?
Just luv that Texaco Tanker .
I have always thought that the Texaco tanker would make a bad ass motor home / RV
You think a lot of things. 🙄
@@jonhohensee3258 good drugs
How cool is that Texaco land tanker? Driving it is either awesome or a death trap.
What the heck, I'd drive it.
It's in nz
It would make a very cool camper though
Yeah 8:17 about that... Electric cars can't replace internal combustion until the range increases to the point where you can get cross country fully loaded while charging only once along the way and it has to be a charge time of less than 3 hours. Anything else is unfeasible as far as time efficiency this is why internal combustion is still the go to.
yeah because i regularily drive across the country only refilling or stopping once. Good one boomer
It wasn't "Hanover Trust Company"
It was Manufacturers Hanover Bank
windvale in reality it was built by custom car constructor Gene Winfield.
Looking at the cars they made I kept hearing 'hangover'. But it was still wacky concept worth mentioning:)
I can't resist this--at 9:41 the tracked vehicle is described as "un-wheel-dy!"
Cool video
Cool video, Thumbs Up !
great!
I'd love to find a Diamond T Doodle bug!
the other unusual tanker is BP's Autotanker
to get into that vehicle it had a single door on the front nose!
the engine is mounted in the rear
want that one too
the W-C Hovercar still exists but in a dilapidated state
tempos de altas viagens criativas
Wonderful car 😙😙😙
Always been a fan of Komatsu.
The Texaco van is sharp.
That’s Sum Krazy Vehicle’s For Sure
👍🏻🤠🇺🇸
9:42 Imagine this in MudRunner. You can conquer any mudhole with this one.
rare is such a broad term: every guy who built himself his own car, has the rarest. imho
Your right it's cool
Love the Texaco vehicle
this is the the infowealth voice! ha! right on!
Curved compound glass!
Quanta R yep, want one.
Woah 😮
After seeing the tron clip I think someone should build a quanta into a tron like vehicle
Also butchering a hudson...........anyone up for doc Hudson mentions
And an electric dump truck 😮 I wonder if you could open up with that big electric motor
I believe some of this car designs back in that era on this video. with a little work can came to the future . With technology more advanced now.
That Carthedral is the ultimate rat rod!
The Carthedral is on exhibit in Arizona at Art Car World museum. It’s quite impressive!
WOW! i had a die cast metal copy of that texaco autovan my dads bank officers got them from somewhere and he gave me his... WHAT A COINKY DINK
I have one :)
10:44
"trank treads"
I have that Texaco truck as a diecast

10:45 "Trank tracks?" XD
😂Eco Friendly Earth Mover
Mutually exclusive terms!
CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG!
I will buy Quanta R. How much is it ?
Why does this video include so many clips of scenes that have nothing to do with the subject matter? Way too many filler clips!
Yes
And don't forget the Dandy Lion from Pushing Daisys!
Daisies
Rockstar Games: Write that down.
I think the thumbnail is from How It's Made
3:52 Flying bootrises? Really?
10:45 And *Trank* treads?
Ya beat me to it lol...
I’m here for chitty chitty bang bang car
Do a video on the nuclear powered Ford concept car
Hello
Hi number one Stoping by and wishing well.
They got those big E-Trucks in GTA 5. Which means they're in California.
Try to say “trank treads” 5 times real fast.😂
Ever noticed the common denominator in road traffic accidents is people.
So?
The Carthedral has flying “butt-riss-es” not “boo-triss-es”!!
Pete - THE WORD IS ACTUALLY CORRECTLY SPELLED AS ' buttress ' AND BEFORE THAT ' Carthedral ' SHOULD ACTUALLY BE ' cathedral ".
У нас еще были "ЗИЛ-4904", и "ЗИЛ-2906".
Turn the texaco tanker into an armoured car?
Why you folks always limited the things at 12? Just go whatever the numbers you like, and people are still gonna watch it...
8:40 - It MUST require charging....unless someone just invented perpetual energy! There is always a loss in the system.....
It gets charged, because it recharges when getting the HEAVY load downhill.
That charge is enough to get the MUCH LIGHTER empty truck up the hill again.
It would not work the other way...
Wrong. The road zipper is permanently or near permanently attached to its barrier set.
When construction workers set up the concrete barriers "overnight", the barriers are brought in on a flatbed.
These are offloaded via a clamping tool attached to a crane, or more commonly, a backhoe, and placed into position. Rebar can then used to bind the segments together, or the segments can be left free. Alternative designs of the segments holds them together through interlocking grooves.
The road zippers are used to create flex lanes.
I love how the thumbnail is a toy car
The idea that the big truck "could run forever without recharging" cannot be true. I LIKE the regenerative braking but it's never going to be perfect. Friction still bleeds power.
i saw some details on this, it goes up hill empty to the quarry using the battery then regens all the way back down with like a 40 tonne load which does in fact produce more energy than it used. I think it as to also discharge some to the grid once the battery is fully charged or the regen wont work and it as to rely purely on the brakes, hope that helps.
Law of conservation of energy doesn't allow the truck to "never" need charging, nope nada never
Your right of course. It charges every time it goes down hill with a load. Then discharges on the way back up without a load. Only works that way if you need to move things downhill.
@@COBARHORSE1 And that is the exact opposite of how a mine works. The writers/researchers of this channel know zero about the subjects they cover.
@@bigbossimmotal it's switzerland, mountains everywhere, it's possible that mine is higher than factory
Sounds like they perfected the same problem with the Chernobyl experiment.
秀樹感激Goodです=3
The Dodge air flow Texaco Tanker was not included.
“Look closely - you might see...”
Doesn’t show the car again.
Second to no command..................
The advantage of electric cars is that they can produce a lot of torque at low speeds, more than a gas engine, and electric cars also don't need traditional transmissions (or any transmission, as many are direct-drive) thus conserinvg power that would otherwise be lost in a normal petroleum-burning vehicle with a transmission.
jesus every video about the Texaco Tanker has text straight out o wikipedia
6:04 Auckland harbor bridge, New Zealand.
One piece at a time.
A rare thumbs down. Really not researched well. Too bad, as it’s well produced, but poorly written.
YOU'RE poorly written.
@@jonhohensee3258 wow BUUURRNNNN
@ 8:00 "some people believe that an electric vehicle will never be as powerful as a regular one". They'd be wrong. Electric care have been outperforming gas guzzlers for almost 10 years now.
All of them recharging their own batteries as they drive, too and requiring no outside energy source, like the big green dump truck. Some people are actually dumb enough to believe those kind of fantasies.
they need to change the name of Carthedral to Carfesces
Why?
The copy is absurd. Who wrote this?
5:13
Why can't we have trucks like this today?
The perfect vehicle for inner city deliveries.
How many channel do you have bro🤨
1950 Ford Chrysler.!!!??? What planet are you from..and when mentioning the "Ford Chrysler" you show a picture of an Imperial?? And that Continental is matched with a 70s Chrysler product with hydraulics?? Your videos are so waste and you put in all kinds of clips into it that doesnt even have anything to do with the theme narrated. Im impressed.
Lol the thumbnail is a toy car 😅
How can the big green dumper be both 14 feet wide and 30 feet wide??
just cuz i guess
that's why you can't believe everything you hear.
Arctic cannot rock climb.
What movie is that at 0:36
Fast and furious 9
Cool boy!! I'm second!
12:10 The Homer
Talk about plagiarism. The description of the Texaco truck was read word for word from Wikipedia, Jesus, at least change a few words dude.
? Why does the commentator sound like he is shouting throughout the video?
The last one is a total rip off. Some Australian guy, I think, did the same thing in his garage 10-15 year's ago, maybe more. He also used Subaru's and he had multiple different designs
