Trueeee..l although I do see the park pass reservations going away, more so in Disneyland than Disney world. Especially since they still get all that data at the end of the day after they see how many people buy a ticket day of.
Kota Tipton yes at the moment due to covid. You buy the ticket but the ticket doesn’t have a date at the moment so after you buy the ticket/s you have to reserve which day you want to use it on
my mom said we might be going this fall or next winter. she doesn't know i'm taking notes and saving videos to help everything go more smoothly. she's a single mom, she's got a lot on her plate. i have quickly become addicted to this channel, but it's all helpful. it'll be our first disney trip in nine years, so lots has changed. also, my therapist is going next november and i'm helping him (or at least trying)
For anyone living in the mid-Atlantic region there is an auto-train that goes from Lorton Virginia to Sanford FL, family cabins are about $900 for 4 people and you get to take your own vehicle to FL without having to drive. Cheaper than 4 plane tickets and no rental car.
Literally just secured a Be Our Guest Reservation 12 days out while watching this! Don’t stop trying! Update: I got Cinderella’s Royal Table for after the fireworks… cancelling Be Our Guest.
Thanks AJ and DFB!!! Thanks to your guide and your UA-cam channel I have a fantastic 10 day vacation the first two weeks of February coming up. Thank you!! I am super intimidated planning my September 2022 trip, there’s so much to know and I’m afraid one wrong move is going to really impact our days! This makes me feel better though😊 I’ll just do my best.
September wasn’t overly packed last year. My thing is I sometimes get overly worried about missing something but there’s so much to enjoy. So don’t stress yourself to much. Enjoy the process and the dreaming until September gets here.
How stressful and overwhelming; don't get me wrong- great video I had zero idea since my last park visit. Thank you for all the tips- just feel like the spontaneous magic of attending and experiencing a Disney Park has just gone out the window..is it just me?!
How things have changed. So, a random person can't just walk up to the entrance to buy a ticket on a random day to go to the parks if you don't have a reserved park ahead of time??? They will be turned away?? Things are just so complicated now. People must be glued to their phones the whole day then. 🤦🏻♀️
Making first trip in 9years with my daughter , gf and her 2 girls who have never been in June. So excited and a bit overwhelmed with all the changes. Got PArk Hoppers and Genie plus..watching lots of your videos to figure it out. Thanks for all the great videos and info.
The guide is amazing. I'm traveling in September with fam. I'm the only person in my group who is a constant disney goer nut it will be my first time planning for people. I can't tell you how many videos and articles I binged and discovered there were still many things I didn't know about or should do instead to make better convenience. Dfb and Allears do such an incredible job on their research on how to max your day at the parks. A hearty thank you from this disney goer.
after researching Disneyworld- had i not told my kids. I wouldn’t go. it’s to stressful to even think of all these reservations for everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if you need a reservation for the restroom! 🚽 thinking how could this even be fun!
It’s pretty bad now, honestly. I’ve been going to Disney parks since I was born and I have never seen anything like this last trip in February. Every single thing you want to do is booked or has two-hour waits or you have to pay to get on. We ended up buying every lightning pass they had just because we knew we weren’t coming back any time soon. If you wait until everyone’s post-covid vacation is done, you may be ok. But remember, restaurants have walk-up lines and lightning passes become available throughout the day so even if it’s booked, keep checking back. You may get lucky. Get on your phone at 7:00 am every morning to reserve your lightning passes. But you can only get two rides at a time. Your app will tell you when they become available again. Good luck and god speed!
Really nice channel and useful tips. But I recall my family visit to Disney: a day trip to one park, decided 1 week ahead, sandwiches in our backpack, bought 4 tickets at the entrance. That was about it for organisation. Times have changed I guess, but not for me anymore. More stress than fun
Mistakes being going to Disney anyway. Friend just returned, they said the park ran out of food, lines were everywhere worse then normal, but they did have a great time.
This is my favorite go to vlog for all things Disney World! I always recommend you to anyone who come to me with advice on traveling to WDW. Because no matter how much I know about vacations at WDW this blog always teaches me something new about the parks and accommodations. Thank you!!!
tbh, i dont wanna go to disneyland again, ever since they sky rocked prices and all these other things they had started makes me not wanna go anymore, i dont think disneyland will ever be the same again !!
I’m setting calendar reminders for dining reservations now! We’re hoping to do Trail’s End, 50s prime time cafe, sci fi dine in theater, and rose & crown. Those are our only “must haves”.
Your tips are so good! If it wasn’t for your repeated tips about how to keep checking the app for the dining reservation, we woulda never got the Be Our Guest reservation we just went to this past Tuesday!! And I love your newsletter especially on Friday 🥰🥰 We just got the annual passes too! My kids and I kept looking for a DFB reporter lol I would love to be one one day!! Hashtag GOALS 🤩 Thanks for all you guys do!!
Everything about a vacation like this is headache and gets super expensive rather just take the family out for weekend fun like fishing and swimming at the lake then go to tristate fair I've had family and friends that went to Disney and said they would not go back
Depends. Personally I really enjoy watching all these videos, taking notes and planning for months before these trips. Every time I've taken my girls we've had the best experience due to having a solid plan in advance. I can see how not everyone would enjoy this process however
@7:20 I’m using my 8 free Marriott hotel nights. A family of 4 flying from LA, we’re trying to save $ on hotels. Plus, most the day we’ll be at the parks.
Robin Williams got into a huge fight with Disney shortly after the release of Aladdin. The source of the argument came from him taking a huge pay-cut in order to voice the Genie (which he did because he wanted to do it for his kids). The one thing he asked for in return was that his voice not be used for merchandising products or marketing. Disney agreed, but then realized that the Genie was really the star of the movie and ended up using his voice for both of those things.
What if there are no deals available when booking resort? We absolutely paid rack rate for the Riviera because we were nervous that it would book up. I was keeping an eye on the deals page but none of them applied to my family.
Find a travel agent you trust or can come recommended. They can't guarantee anything but those are the people who know historically when a deal usually drops And they will rebook it with the deal if one comes out. Although to be fair, that resort is super new and probably won't have any kind of discount coming out
I love your videos and tips AJ - thanks. I an a long time disney fan but I now have some health problems , but don’t want to miss all the fun with my family and grand babies. I would love some tips for navigating the parks and rides for people with mobility problems. I need a scooter and have problems with balance so getting on and off rides can be difficult. I can use my cane to walk to rides but have trouble if the ride doesn’t stop for loading. Hope this is possible 😘
I just the Hoop dee doo review show a couple of days ago. Awesome show and great family style dinner included (ribs, fried chicken, salad, beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, Mac cheese and strawberry shortcake for dessert!
I was thinking of bringing my family until I seen this video & I changed my mind this seems way to overwhelming and crowded and to much online reservations at 5:45 am on vacation.. no thanks.
me too! the biggest reason that i want to go to WDW is for Batuu. that's what happens when i want to build a lightsaber, fly the falcon... be PART of star wars
Why are park tickets and park pass reservations different? Why cant they just limit the number of park tickets? What is the reason to sell out of park reservations but continue to sell tickets??
Because you can still go to other parks. They are required by local governments to only allow so many people in. This was an issue even before COVID. Parks would reach capacity typically around Xmas/New Years, and by law, they could not allow any more people in due to fire regulations. EPCOT was typically the last park to fill up, so they would just shuttle guests there. The reservation system is due to a smaller amount of capacity, but if it’s anything like Disneyland, I fear that it may just be used as a means to schedule the right amount of cast members per each park. In other words, bare minimum.
The dining reservations booking is stressful af. I was on the site at 5:45 am EST (admittedly an easier time to book when in the UK) & stupidly booked Skipper Canteen first instead of Ohana. I was lucky I managed to get a 8:20pm booking for Ohana when I booked it 2 minutes later.
Hi.Great news for Florida residents.Disney announced weekdays magical tickets. Beginning january 11,until april 7. 2 days park tickets 149$ plus tax. 3 and 4 days weekdays ticket also available. Blackouts dates from March 14-18. Proof of Florida residency required.
So glad I found this channel 😃 Booked to go Disney World early July First time ever for both me and the mrs So learning about Disney Genie, Park Reservations, Lightning Lanes now is gonna help so much 🇬🇧 ✈️ 🇺🇸
Love your channel !! Learn soo much on your videos !! You have helped me on planning my next vacation . Thank you sooo much on explaining how Genie Plus works and how and when to use it.All of you are wonderful !!!
There are a LOT of complaints about Mears right now. Buses are either showing up 30-60 mins late or not at all. Even with confirmation codes being sent to people on the day of their scheduled pick up. There’s something going on where Disney isn’t communicating effectively with Mears. Please look into this some more before suggestion Mears 💕🙂
FYI....Magical Express was actually contracted to Mears. Those bus drivers (from what I was told) were actually Mears employees. I think they will work out the kinks when they are FULLY sole transportation and responsible for scheduling and communications WITHOUT Disney involvement
Another mistake: forgetting to get FuelRod or USB phone charger cord before you arrive. There's nothing worse than your phone battery going dead, since without the phone...it will be painful. I'm considering buying FuelRod before going to Disney World. Seriously, Disney needs to stop putting everything on the smartphone...
Love your channel! Just planned a trip and made all my park reservations exactly 59 days out (which was totally random). Then I went to make dining reservations.... literally NONE of the "special" restaurants available. No character dining options... no Space restaurant in Epcot... only the least desirable places were open :( This was 59 days out. I had no clue that people were logging on at 5:45 am 60 days out to reserve dining. This is kind of insane. Wish I had found your channel and tips prior to booking my trip. I keep checking the app each day in hopes something will open up.... but I can honestly say I thought there was a glitch with the app when there were such limited choices that many days out from my trip. INSANITY!!!!!
I have been checking the app daily now for MONTHS and I have NEVER seen a Space reservation option there - they are snapped up IMMEDIATELY. Funny thing - another restaurant that books out very quickly is the Sci Fi Dine-In at MGM (I will NEVER call it anything else!). I've only seen ONE window on a random day I just clicked. That being said, people drop reservations CONSTANTLY so just check at random and something will most likely come up.
Love you guys and thanks for all the tips. Not sure if someone told you but when you mention 407-WDW-DINE in this video the screen shot read 404 instead of 407.
As a disney fan I may bring disney rides to what I learnt in class, especially for a statistics class. In HKDL, the Ant Man ride records your score and accuracy. I may make a regression analysis on my scores and accuracies on each ride I took.
Excellent vid. Always plan for Disney. Sounds like reservation system and Genie plus is new piece to mainly understand so going to have a good watch. Worth adding that dining plans not currently available? We are waiting to book till then. Also we can’t see any links to hotel discounts. If you have them are you able to post please? Again awesome vid thank you
Good video but we had the worst experience ever at Disney just a week ago. Staff breaking into the room, rides breaking down constantly, being charged for the new genie + thing whish is impossible to understand and the app crashing every time I would pull it up. Lastly, the staff being absolutely militant to guests about the draconian mask policy. No, I don't foresee me returning unless they revise a lot of their terrible policies and quit cutting corners. At the rates they charge, they can do a lot better. A vacation should not feel like a job.
I have a whole bunch of negative feelings towards Disney based on your videos and the videos of others. We went three years in a row, from 2016-2018 and had a blast. Got there early, stayed late, were pros at getting around the park and taking advantage of cool sites to see fireworks and unique dining experiences. Seems like so much of that is gone now. For people that went pre pandemic and have been back recently, how much has it changed and is it for the better?
Hmmm, strange, this videos are actually incredibly helpful unlike several other channels that have been super negative recently I went October 2nd, it was amazing, we secured a reservation at Ohana as well as getting to use the fast pass lane for every ride in galaxy’s edge, after rise of the resistance broke down while we were on it, which at the time sucked but the fast pass to every ride made up for it big time, we also got pixie dusted multiple times, my expectations weren’t very high, I didn’t realize it would be that magical still, we’re going again in 33 days, I can’t wait, this time around got reservations at 7 major food locations while we’re at the parks as well as a few experience reservations like Savvis Workshop and Droid Depot
I will say the only thing bad about Disney in general is Bob Cheapskate, it feels like he’s cutting corners, I’ve seen some videos saying you get plastic bags instead of boxes/sleeves in galaxy’s edge Savvis Workshop and Droid Depot, however you do receive a discount as well as getting a free accessory like a Luger crystal or personality chip If you’d like to take a Disney cruise, I went on one of those in September, truly unbelievable. I’ve been asked which one I liked better but, how can you compare, they’re two totally different magical experiences
@@tropicalsbigdaddyr53577 Glad you all had a good time! You're right, DFB video's are insightful and positive, I'm more alluding to the fact that she will mention things that are not longer available or major changes that are not user friendly, and its typically stuff that was a resort perk or made travel and planning easier. Just not happy about several changes that have been made.
@@NRCARCH yeah I understand what you’re saying, unfortunately that has been the pattern recently, but most of it isn’t stiff that will directly majorly affect most park goers luckily. Yeah a few things will but usually won’t cause too much of a headache
We went pre pandemic and it was absolutely magical. Went again when mask mandate was still enforced and it was awful. Made me look at Disney in such a different way unfortunately:( I hope everything goes back to normal soon. It was not fun at all.
Darn! I wish I had known to start booking dining reservations at 5:45 eastern time. I knew to book 60 days in advance but didn't know what time you could start. I woke up at 5:30 central time to start booking (6:30 eastern). I was able to get the royal table and Ogas Cantina, but not scifi move drive in which I was really hoping for. That's insane
Hm, I go in 2 weeks for Labor Day weekend and just yesterday booked restaurants for each day, I saw si-fi place was available for a few time slots. Maybe try to check it again.
@@elenawaltermusic I went during spring break season. I checked everyday up until my trip and still no luck on scifi. But still had a great time at ogas cantina and the Royal table.
🚨PSA🚨 If you are staying at a Disney resort, for example, for 6 days (up to 10 days max) you can actually reserve your dining 66 days in advance! This should be corrected, we missed out on many reservations because of this missed detail 😭 those days really make a difference!!!!
I’m confused. Where did you see that? We checked everyday leading up to our 6 day trip and it never allowed booking dining until the morning we hit that 60 day window of our check-in day? At that point we booked dining for all 6 days
LOVE THIS CHANNEL! I don’t foresee the park pass reservations going away after the pandemic is over. The analytics are invaluable; that information can be used for staffing, restaurant operations, merchandising/new releases, etc. Disney can also see when bookings are lower and use promotions and annual pass options strategically. Trueeee..l although I do see the park pass reservations going away, more so in Disneyland than Disney world. Especially since they still get all that data at the end of the day after they see how many people buy a ticket day of.

I'm considering buying FuelRod before going to Disney World. Seriously, Disney needs to stop putting everything on the smartphone...
Love this channel! Have been a fan for years!
December isn't getting here fast enough. Finally able to do our honeymoon
Who can be bothered anymore with this hassle?
used to be 180 days for dining and FastPass.
I want to go in may and I want to go to the space restaurant so bad now I’m scared
@@justsayin7314 This is my first trip back in twenty years and most likely will be my last. It's just STRESS overload!
Your videos are so much fun to watch, keep it up!
Thank you for all your helpful information!!!! Your great and I love the videos!
I'm planning our Disney vacation for October
Three words. Wine. Bar. George. 👍🏻❤️
This place is so crowded I can’t even enjoy watching the video !!! To many people
For a split stay remember go from Art of Animation first then finish off at the Halcyon.
Love you guys and thanks for all the tips. Not sure if someone told you but when you mention 407-WDW-DINE in this video the screen shot read 404 instead of 407.
Doing a split stay is a mistake. You pay double deposit, double travel insurance
Only mistake I made was to go there. Period!
As a disney fan I may bring disney rides to what I learnt in class, especially for a statistics class.
In HKDL, the Ant Man ride records your score and accuracy. I may make a regression analysis on my scores and accuracies on each ride I took.
Just did Hollywood Studios today I’m exhausted
We got our reservation at 12am for be our guest and most were gone already!
So much for unwinding and unplugging......seems Disney wants to keep you chained to your phone! What a shame.....
Again awesome vid thank you
What about Mears Metered Luxury Taxi’s as an option from the airport for getting to Disney? They offer wheelchair friendly vehicles too.
Great video! Very helpful 👍
I just made dinner and lunch reservations for March. Barely anything left and it’s 2 months away.
Thank you for this helpful video
Love your channel, I so hope someone will do something like it for Disney in Paris. Isn’t time to branche out for you guys???
Good video but we had the worst experience ever at Disney just a week ago. Staff breaking into the room, rides breaking down constantly, being charged for the new genie + thing whish is impossible to understand and the app crashing every time I would pull it up. Lastly, the staff being absolutely militant to guests about the draconian mask policy. No, I don't foresee me returning unless they revise a lot of their terrible policies and quit cutting corners. At the rates they charge, they can do a lot better. A vacation should not feel like a job.
I’m going in June, and it’s just us two, I guess I’ll be waking up at 245 AM PST to get our reservations.
Can you guys please talk about the disability pass???
Can multiple people be logged into your MDE to book reservations at the same time?
I have a whole bunch of negative feelings towards Disney based on your videos and the videos of others. We went three years in a row, from 2016-2018 and had a blast. Got there early, stayed late, were pros at getting around the park and taking advantage of cool sites to see fireworks and unique dining experiences. Seems like so much of that is gone now. For people that went pre pandemic and have been back recently, how much has it changed and is it for the better?
Hmmm, strange, this videos are actually incredibly helpful unlike several other channels that have been super negative recently
I went October 2nd, it was amazing, we secured a reservation at Ohana as well as getting to use the fast pass lane for every ride in galaxy’s edge, after rise of the resistance broke down while we were on it, which at the time sucked but the fast pass to every ride made up for it big time, we also got pixie dusted multiple times, my expectations weren’t very high, I didn’t realize it would be that magical still, we’re going again in 33 days, I can’t wait, this time around got reservations at 7 major food locations while we’re at the parks as well as a few experience reservations like Savvis Workshop and Droid Depot
I will say the only thing bad about Disney in general is Bob Cheapskate, it feels like he’s cutting corners, I’ve seen some videos saying you get plastic bags instead of boxes/sleeves in galaxy’s edge Savvis Workshop and Droid Depot, however you do receive a discount as well as getting a free accessory like a Luger crystal or personality chip
If you’d like to take a Disney cruise, I went on one of those in September, truly unbelievable.
So even if I have a reservation at a restaurant, I still have to reserve my spot the day of the reservation at 5:45 am?
Top of the list: avoid repeating your mistakes from 2021, 2020, 2019....🙄
your tips are great
So crazy that you need to make dinner reservations 60 days out! What happened to WDW?
It used to be 180 days
I was online early morning 60 days out and still couldn't get a Topolino's Terrace breakfast. I'm hoping I can get one before we go in 3 weeks.
Don’t want to get up that early your travel agent will do it
I havent been to disney world since 2017
Definitely going to set our alarm for reservations in the future. There are so many I want to try that never have any reservations open! -S
LOVE DFB! ❤
🚨PSA🚨
If you are staying at a Disney resort, for example, for 6 days (up to 10 days max) you can actually reserve your dining 66 days in advance!
I think because you can make reservations for your entire stay starting 60 days before your first reservation day.
Thank you for the tips. Do you believe the meal plan will be back by summer?
